Is that really the mentality out here believed by all or just a few?

If you dont bang you should not be rappin?....Really?

Any thoughts and opinions on this subject?

I think those are some of the dumbest thoughts to ever come across the human mind personally..

Gangs & Rap don't mix in my opinion ......... Gang life & Rap life are very very different .....

I think Southern California consist of people who are hard working trying to feed their family . The gang thing I don't really know much but about & don't pay attention too.

You guy's are cool folks down there ..... Rappers need to work or rap till their voice goes out ........

dont worry, i got into it with a couplke of my g homies because they say goin to school is for squares.

first of all the word square is a subjective term, it really does not have a stable meaning.

when people say goin to work or goin to school is square, what they really wanna say is

" damn, i wish i could do that, i wish i had the opportunity, im jealous then a muthafucka. you movin up, i hope you dont make it"

but since thats too much, they just call you a square.

back in the early 2g's square meant a nigga who thought he bangs, wanted to bang, but didnt.

This subject is real. I never feel its wrong for people to go to school or to work a job..Infact I wish that was the mentality alot of my homies had. Sometimes you have decide what is best for you and your family.

As for being in a gang and all that... once you get older, you gotta take care of your fam (if you got em)... And I dont see nothing wrong with speaking about what you once were compared to the people that never were.

Some of my homies work and go to school and rap about they past. Nothing wrong with it.

Its sad when you see people actually still living the street life like when we was 12 or 13. As a few homies told me.. our generation needs to move on.. its the next gens turn.

all depends on what your lyrical content is

if you rap about every day shit/havin a 9-5 you're good

just dont be a telemarketer talkin about you got it for cheap
