I don't get what firefox has to do with anything?

When i do that it takes me to the common folder, and i can see everything in it just fine, but then when i go just to the my music folder i still can't see any folders or files in it. Even though i was just in the common folder that's in the my music folder.
if you can view the files in firefox, try right clicking on them, 'file save-as" into another directory, and see if that works.

otherwise i dont know what else you should do to make them all viewable....maybe try hidening the files/directories, and then unhide them,... try Karlos idea.

I think i figured it out cuz it just happened to me. The files dont show up when you click on My Computer> User Documents, but when you go to C:/Documents and Settings/User, the files are there. Its some windows glitch I guess

I'm not sure i understand what you mean?

Check the folder permissions for the folder,

right click on folder

click properties

click on the security tab and see what is allowed.

it should be everyone is allowed with full control

Make sure folder listing is allowed since that seem to be your problem.

There is no security tab just General, Sharing, and Customize
You have to start your computer in safe mode with administrative rights to see that security tab. I'm assuming you got XP ...so hit F8 before your shit boots up , you'll see a dialog screen and choose safe mode at the top. then go to that folder and then check it's properties , you should be able to see that security tab.

Question!
Did your secondary drive used to be your primary drive?
if thats the case you need to change the permissions for that entire drive....not just that folder.

To reveal the Security tab, open Windows Explorer, and choose Folder Options from the Tools menu. On the View tab, scroll to the bottom of the Advanced Settings and clear (click) the check box next to "Use Simple File Sharing." Click OK to apply the change, and you should now have a Security tab when viewing the properties of a file on an NTFS volume.
