...Sigur Ros material.

On the website below click on Sigur Ros. Then click on Sigur Ros Limited Edition. On the right side below "store" you can get a look at it as a whole. This was also a late birthday present to myself. It's so fucking dope and limited to 5000 worldwide. I was going to order it but I was at Easy Street today and they had it for probably what it would have came to with shipping and handling anyways so I just said fuck it and bought it there.

You can't go wrong with any of their stuff. But just proper studio albums would go in this order for me...

Ágætis byrjun
( )
Takk...
Von

All their EPs and comps/remixes are great too though.

They are supposed to release a new album this year as well.

Now I finally have a PC to check out what this looks like and the site doesn't load. lol you have a pic of it anywhere you could post?

Also anyone reading this should check out Thursday's Sigur Ros cover of Ny Batteri. It's so good.

Yes it is.

Nah, no pic. I found a camera at my work (a nice one too) so I just got to buy a memory card then I'll take some pics. It's dope.

A new book titled In A Frozen Sea: A Year with Sigur Ros follows the band through their native Iceland on the last leg of the 2006 Takk tour. The 32-page book comes encased in a 12" vinyl jacket and features photography of both the band and the Icelandic landscape.

The book is available to order on June 1st at ainr.com There will be 5,000 limited edition vinyl album collections. This special edition run contains In a Frozen Sea, as well as three of Sigur Ros' 12" LP’s including Agaetis Byrjun, ( ), Takk and Smaskifa.
I got the bold part. Seven pieces of vinyl total in a hardcover book type folder with pics on each sleeve and vinyl label, each hand etched with album title and numer out of 5000.

Today, i met an asian girl who liked sigur ros...you guys coulda been like best friends or something...well she said something about their booklets not having any writing in them, instead they say, imagine it yourself or something. I asked her if she liked post rock in general, she told me, "what the hell is that?" lol sigur ros is post rock though right? I found out that the angels of the universe album i have is not by them, instead, only one song on there is by them. Soo...i was misinformed i'll check out some more stuff, it seems interesting. I mean she told me, "sigur ros deserves to have a dedicated genre." Damn, really now.

They have post-rock elements but I really wouldn't call them post-rock. They are kind of in a genre of their own as I have never head of anyone who has sounded anything like them. I mean, I spent $165 on some vinyl from one band...that should say what I personally think of them lol.

Check out those albums I recommended to Ethereal.

Sigur Ros is fucking... Art. lol
There's no genre, there's no language, it's just beautiful music.

I remember when I got () and I was like what the fuck is going on the whole booklet is rice paper with nothing written and it's all see thru. And then I listened to it and it was like being in a dream.

They took Heima off youtube, but if you got the cash, buy fucking Heima. It's probably the best music dvd ever made.
