its a lot of mesican chest thumpin on wax goin on and these sucaz like Chino want some attention, they feel they ain't recognized on tha street scene like blacs r, thats this tha reason all these Surenos got animosity toward C's and B's, they feel like they don't got that same notorious reputation and they want that
But then again, it probably doesn't help when you refer to them as "mesicans," even going so far as to type it like that.
But I think all that comes from prison politics like CHRYMES said. Blacks and surs have been at war forever in there so that racial attitude is going to spill out on to the streets just like the slang, style, and mentality of that place.
I can't see Mexican gang members wanting the attention black gangs get though. Why would you want the spot light on your illegal activity?
tha song wuz about niggaz killin other niggaz tho and mesicans watchin on tha sidelines, and if u from LA u know thats how it go down anyway

I think the media just wanted/wants to demonize blacks more at that time...
Movies like Boyz N The Hood and Menace II Society, despite their anti-gang message, seemed to promote gang violence. The people who already knew better understood the message, but youngsters didn't get it. They just liked the parts where O-Dog was blasting the Korean lady or when they got revenge for Caines cousin.
After American Me came out it seemed like a whole bunch of paisa's started claiming sur in Northern California.
You have people willing to exploit their own community for a profit, and the same community willing to support it, you can't place all the blame on rich, white folks.

Eazy-E making fun of Mexicans in his old skits, like when he said "you mexicans always tryna sell this fake shit," complete with stereotyped mexican voices.
Not a big deal but I can see some people taking offense to it.
