I guess it was because the chorus had a a Mexican stereotyped voice from a rapper who rapped in a previous song, "I'm from the city where the brown blast black and the black blast right back."

Then later in the video for Vatos Snoop has a Cuban representing for the Mexicans.

a cuban that has choosen to forsake his blood affiliation and ride with southern mexicans... the song is about bangers and there are other latinos than run with southsider hoods, B-real's brothers are from florencia. pharell in the first version, with the ese voice, was stupid. I don't know what they were thinking, but overall that song was not a negative song about mexicans -especially when you got hardcore southsider rappers talkin shit about blacks either to hype up their fans, or because they actually believe that shit.

I agree with you about the southern rappers. Although there are some little things here and there that black rappers put in their music like the Snoop quote, mostly I always hear black rappers giving it up for Mexicans.
Southern chicano rappers on the other hand hardly ever mention blacks unless it's in a negative fashion like Slow Pain and Ese Chino calling them "tintos" and "spooks." Unless it's about oldies singers. They dont' see color when it comes to that shit.

But about the Vatos video. Are you sure that B-Real hood hopped from being a Blood to being a sureno?

I think the video is funny because of a Cuban Blood repping Mexicans, but it overall it came off as positive. The song I thought was a little condescending tho(didn't know Pharell did the voice) but no big deal.

Just wanted to add that people, myself included, got some fucked up thinking. We get a little worked up about a funny spanish speaking voice in a Snoop Dogg song, but not about the killing of other people part of it.
