So the guy that snatched his mic went in Vlad TV and admitted that the reason he did it was because he was a social media digital strategist and thought he would himself go viral by doing that :

Good. This needs to happen more often. And every artist whoever put in work, took penitentiary chances or made sacrifice to even make an album, should do this type of shit more often. And if it wasn't for a lot of these bitch ass music fans, supporting the fuckery in the first place, the music industry wouldn't be in such a bad shape and more artists would be eating.
Isn't talent most important? Alot of rappers with street cred suck, the greatest gangster rap group ever the producer was soft, he got punked outta 50 million lol.

I wouldn't say school should be glorified as there is plenty of fuck shit in school. However, I will say " proper education" or "useful education" should be glorified.
"Out late night on the yayo track making a gang of money. Still going to school 3 hours of day cause there ain't no sense in being a fucking dummy." Do you know who said that?

I don't think there is much to add to this discussion that hasn't been already mentioned.

I just booked slim Jesus for a show. Been getting lots of messages and threats over it. People really hate this dude.
I'm personally not a fan of dude or his music, but I just don't understand why yall put his name over Trae. Surely Trae is a bigger name, featuring his name up top on the poster will attract the biggest audience.

It makes perfect sense that Slim Jesus is the headliner. Trae's career peaked close to a decade ago and his name was never buzzing like Slim Jesus's name is now.

But slim jesus' name is buzzing kind of as an internet joke. 50% of the internet thinks he's faggot, 45% of the internet is retarded morons on social media who listen to anything thats "trendy" in music, while only 5% (if that) are folks who genuinely like his music. I bet if I asked you, you couldn't name a song by him other than "drill time". And regardless of anyone's opinion on him , that dude who took the mic had a point. His who show involved 5 songs, which included a chief keef song, and drill time twice. You think anyone is gunna remember dude in 2 years time? Dude is just a novelty white kid drill artist.

Trae on the other hand never used a viral video or fad to blow up his name, he was, regardless of which point in time, once a respected hip hop artist who worked hard to build his name. That was my point. You don't have to agree with it, but its my point.

I don't disagree with anything you said, but you have to understand that it's all about selling tickets when it comes to shows. The people who go to shows are generally younger, so take into account that they were probably around 10 years old when Trae was popular. Even though Slim Jesus is a joke, people that aren't his fans will still go to the show just based off the fuckery that happened at his last show. Snakegang @Snakegang knows what's he doing.

Exactly. Trae is a legend, and we're paying him more $. But Slim Jesus is bringing the people in. My phone has been blowing up since we announced it, and nobody's asking about Trae. Sad but true. Trust me I'm a huge SUC fan and I think Trae should be headlining, but the gimmick appeal of Slim Jesus is whats selling tickets

You have people dying over street shit everyday. You have talented people not getting their shot. So when people see Small Jesus or whatever his name is, they are going to look and say: "Man niggas is dying for the shit he rappin about, he ain't even with the shit and he's makin all this money? He's gettin put on? Fuck this shit." In ANY field, if you put a certain image out there, people are going to test you. I'm not saying they will test you by means of violence but they will test you based on your profession/doing and the environment. I'm sorry but this cat was supposed to get his mic took. In fact, more should have happened and more will happen because he's proven that he's a victim and can be preyed on.

Yes, you're free to express yourself however you choose but there are repercussions to doing so. If you are saying certain shit, be prepared for what comes your way, especially if you are saying some violent shit, niggas have died for this shit and cats tryin to feed their families and keep the lights on with rap.

As for Cube, well he earned his stripes a bit after the beating ATL gave him so it's whatever. Small Jesus? Not so much.

Again, when shit hits the fan it's "it's only entertainment." Well it's not only entertainment to niggas in the streets and cats trying to come up off music.
That would be funny if a bunch of serial killers went after Mars
