there is a shit load of performance upgrades you can do to a 3.8, but there is different generations of them, the new 3.8 is pretty awsome, but if you make it holla, you will have transmission problems.

Thats what Im lookin for homie, some upgrade options. Cause that engine bein around since the 70's theres gotta be some kits for SUMTHIN. I feel you tho, when you upgrade one thing, other weakneses start showin.

But in the end tho, I Do wana make my bitch sing down the block and continue to have niggaz wonderin what the hell was that that just past me?....all they see is this long ass coupe that says Oldsmobile with dual pipes on the back Stock!!

im not sure as to what generation it is though.....

mine came out in '92

but didnt they start makin the genII around like '93 and '94?

The normal aspirated 3.8's came with weak pistons and rods, your best bet would be to get a supercharged 3.8 from the junk yard, swap it and the engine managment in, then ad a kn filter, super charger pulley, better fuel pump and adjustable fuel pressure regulator, then that mother fucker will smash out.
