YES OR NO??? ARE THEY POINTLESS?? DO THEY ENHANCE THE ALBUM??? CAN AN ALBUM BE TRULY GREAT WITHOUT THEM?? THINK BACK AND BRING UP SOME EXAMPLES TO SUPPORT YOUR OPINION IF YOU CAN.

THERE IS MORE TO AN ALBUM THAN SONGS. ARTWORK, SONG ORDER, MIXING, AND ANY OTHER CHARACTERISTICS WHETHER IT'S SKITS OR JUST YOUR "THANK YOUS"... IT ALL MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE.

I KNOW THE SKITS ON DOGGYSTYLE WERE PRETTY TIGHT, BUT WOULD THE ALBUM HAVE BEEN JUST AS TIGHT WITHOUT THEM? HOW ABOUT CHRONIC 2001? DID THAT EVEN HAVE ANY SKITS?? I THINK I REMEMBER JUST ONE, RIGHT?

skits can both enhance or fucc up a album. most of the time I doubt they would make or break the album tho

I love a good skit. Just like a good intro or outro. Some albums are are better with them but some aren't. Like the skits on Season Of The Siccness & Trigaration Station played in sequence with the rest of the album so it made a huge difference. Sometimes a skit can be totally worthless too. They are hit & miss let's just say that.

Do they enhance an album? Not really, but some skits/interludes do help lead into a song. Some artist use them to create a pre-atmosphere before a song comes on.

And you are correct. It all makes a difference. A lot the stuff that seems so trivial is really important when you start to wrap up the project and you begin marketing the product.
