Well, I finally bought the album today and been listening to it the whole afternoon til now. Couldn't go yesterday cuz I had work so today me and 2 of my buds went and got it. My opinion on it could change just like it did with MLK, as I grew tolerant of the guest's verses but for now here's how it is.
Sickology is a great opener for the album. It sounded good in the car too, well atleast Tech's verse. Crooked and Chino's are more like, earbud music that you listen to while chilling in your room. Anyways, dope track. We've talked about it enough when it first leaked.
Midwest Choppers 2...I kinda got mixed feelings about it. The intro is borderline corny, and the beat takes a little to get used to(kind of reminds me of Ayo Technology lol). K-Dean spits fast but has no pressence felt on the track. Then Krazie comes in with some recycled lines, and tries to harmonize instead of going fast like I anticipated. I don't think his "singing" fit in with the beat but I guess its alright. I feel kinda disappointed with this track. But I think it will grow on me. Tech's verse is nice. The hook sucks though, I don't know wtf went on with that.
When I got to Ghetto Love, I saw what the people on here were talking about and I automatically skipped the song..at first. This song does nothing for me. Maybe cuz I can't relate or w/e, or its another generic, played out rap song. Hate to say it but Kaliko really sucked on the hook. Sorry n shit.
Poh Me Anutha is another skip track for me. Tech's verse is alright but the hook just doesn't work for me. It sounds kinda like, corny.
We Kixin It..ehhh. Skip as well. Another track about basically nothing, and nothing's really original about it. Cliche song.
Let Me In is alright. I have to sit through 2 okay(at best) verses to get to one worth listening though. Kaliko sounds alright on the hook.
In The Air I got excited for cuz people on here hyped it up. Not bad.
I looked foward to Blown Away cuz I wanted to see how Tech handled Keisha and Rakim. I'm satisfied with the verses. I don't mind autotune and strange knows how to use it, cept on this song. lol. On the hook when he sings the "blow em all awaaaaay", when he says away it just hurts my ears.
Party and Bullshit...not what I expected. Techs verse has some nice lines, like that. But once again, the hook sucks wtf. Beat is annoying.
Sorry and Shit is boring for the most part. RDVs don't really have anything to satisfy me lyrically, or have any charisma to hold my interest. Hook is alright, don't know if its because my standard for hooks are so low by this point.
Dysfunctional is one of my favorite tracks on here. Nothing very lyrical here but it sounds good. Whats up with Kaliko and black people though? lol "I carry desert eagles wherever black people are, you know how black people are". I can't remember the line, but I've heard him say some shit like that in other songs too.
Far Away's another sick track imo. No real complaints here. A song with a concept behind it, how refreshing.
Creepin just sounds bad for the most part. Fuck it lol
Red Nose, dope, we've all gossiped about this track enough
Then finally Aerola. Yeah it's poking fun at the rap game but at the same time, it came out dope. Plus its funny as hell. They took a "stupid" subject and made it sound hot, I wish they could of done this with the rest of the songs on this album with their cliche content. Kutt's verse was sick and another rare track where you don't have to suffer through anybody's verse. It just runs through and sounds nice. We blasted this on the ride back and it was fun as hell to clown around with it, people at the stop lights looking at us like "wtf"
Hate to say it but, its def Tech's worst work yet. Like most albums, I'll give it a couple more spins but right now I'm just :ermm:
