Should kids w/ drug convictions be denied the opportunity to go to college?

FELON? You musta misunderstood me. The only thing I said was that I had a couple of drug charges. I was just wondering why I was still able to vote and get financial aid. I didn't know that provision was only for felons that's why I was asking.
The military isn't what people make it out to be. I know a couple violent felons in the military that's able to carry weapons. I know a nigga that on 2 seperate incidents shot 2 niggas, and a 3rd time shot himself in the leg to avoid going on deployment. He didn't even get discharged, just some brig time but that ain't shit. The military isn't too much concerned about violent crimes unless they're made public, in other words make the news. If so they will make an example out of you. They are more concerned about drug charges & alcohol related incidents, I'll get in more trouble if I smoked a blunt then I would if I robbed a nigga.

Bank loans are fucked off...you might as well scrap even trying for one..you need collateral, immediate payments, you're forced to pay compounding interest, etc. Student loans are set up for students. The bank is out to make money...the government is out to provide a service.
Saying to someone "oh you can just get a bank loan for college" is like saying "well if your living spaces are cramped you can just buy a bigger house".

I researched this back in 00 and later in 02 and didn't find any sort of comparable deals. I went to my local BoFA and talked to an online bank rep...and these loans are also subject to Credit checks and background checks...the only loans I could find and possibly get approved for were shitty rates with major collateral requirements.
As a college student I can understand this amendment. I know so many trifflin mofuccas that come to school until they get their refund check and then withdraw from school.
That shit is unfair to those of us who's parents are strugglin to keep them enrolled in the university...
I think the whole point of this is to make those kids who do have convictions to work harder for their education therefore, lessening the chances of them taking it for granted and blowing the money on bullshit.

YOU MUSTNT HAVE A CONVICTION FOR 3 YEARS, IT IS NOT A LIFETIME BAN. i believe you have to be convicted 3 times to be permanently ineligible. please get this shit straight. my last drug case was in 2000 so i am currently eligible for student loans thru the federal govt. you people have a way of turning molehills into mountains of doom. lol
