We can confirm that Shane McMahon had a meeting at the UFC/Zuffa offices around a week ago.

When asked about this, UFC President Dana White said "no comment."

McMahon, who was Executive Vice President of Global Media for WWE, will be leaving WWE effective January 1, 2010.

According to a source, WWE executive Shane McMahon is looking to buy a financial interest in the UFC. As noted earlier, Shane McMahon will officially leave his WWE position as VP of Global Media on January 1st, 2010.

McMahon would bring to UFC the marketing know-how and relationships in the marketplace. He would also help UFC in their international expansion.

There was a meeting between Shane McMahon and UFC officials including Dana White several weeks ago. When asked about the meeting, Dana White simply stated "no comment". We'll keep you posted as we get more.

There are rumors that Shane McMahon has sold "$50-$80 million dollars" worth of WWE stock so that he can buy into the UFC. That is not the case.
Back in July he sold a minor amount of his stock, but he has made no sales since according to the WWE SEC Filing Page. Since Shane is an officer of the company, the WWE would have to report any sales of stock that he makes.
