the numbers that really count are hr and rbls

finley 12, 54 rbl

and i dont about alonzo but its was low, i read in paper he had 26 in 3 years.

how many hr and rbl did alonzo have last year?

also take in consideration both players were hurt last year. finley is better gamble?

RBI's are situational... Those numbers don't mean anything. Finley has hit more HR's but Alfonzo's been the more productive hitter.

Finley wasn't injured all year, he was bad all year. Even when he was healthy he couldn't hit for shit.

if you say so? Giants cant manufacture runs like the A's can. they need a third baseman and first base that hit at least 20 hrs and drive in 80-90 runs. i take Finley over alonzo any day.

If last year wasn't a fluke for Winn and Alou & Bonds are healthy, you're gonna get at least 100 HR's from your outfield... Is Finley and his 10 extra home runs worth it considering he only gets on base about 20-25% of the time, when Alfonzo can get on 30-35% of the time? And that's not cuz Alfonzo walks a lot more, he just hit better last year...

Finley will be a great addition to the Giants. If everything goes as planned, Bonds and Alou will play around 120 games and Finley will get to play around 100. Also he would be useful off the bench. Last year was a bad year for Finley due to injury, I don't predict a repeat year. Now Sabean looking at a backup infielder (possibly Aurilla) and a backup catcher. A fifth starter would be nice but there is little to pick from, Wade Miller is now available??? Anyways, the Giants and the Dodgers have improved dramaticly, especially with the Dodgers adding Tomko. HAHA

What injury? He crashed into a wall and hurt his shoulder about halfway through the season... But he sucked before that and sucked after that.

EVERYONE WANTED ALFONZO GONE. THE DUDE HAS LOST ALL POWER IN HIS SWING AND HAS NO HEART. THAT IS WHY HE IS GONE!! HE IS HORRIBLE AND NOW FELIZ CAN PLAY 3RD FULL TIME!! IT WAS A GARBAGE FOR GARBAGE TRADE.

yeah it is worth because pedro feliz will get to play full time and have a chance to hit 30 hrs and 100 rbls if BONDS AND ALOU IN LINEUP FULL TIME. if alonzo wasnt traded he would platoon with feliz. you cant sit a 7 million a year player - good or bad.

No, but at this age you can't really look back to year before last and expect him to get back to that after a bad year.

why not?/

the dodgers sat Todd Hundley a few years back

they also outright released Carlos Perez

and thoswe contract were pretty big

are u serious, you rather keep bench alozono than have finley. i take my chances with finley.
