First time hearing that song, it was cool. I like Unthinking Majority more, that's a good fucking song. Even though it does sounds like a SOAD song.

I'll be getting his album for sure.

Are you guys really feelin these songs more than System's good work though? Im a big SOAD fan, always have been (not one of those groupie, half-metal fake fans), and i love Serj. but I cant really get into these as much as I can system. Mezmerize and Hypnotize are System's best work imo and i cant wait for their next shit... but until then I hope I can start digging this more than I am now. Serj is acting hella weird in that empty walls video.. lol.

No, it's not as good as SOAD's best work. Not even near. I like it though and it will give us something to hold over with until SOAD drops a new one.

Ok thats cool, I couldnt really tell what people thought of it in comparison.

I also didnt know what the general consensus around here about SOAD was. I know some metal communities (in particular, not saying this is one, lol..) look down on them because some people think they are cookie cutter. I feel the exact opposite about them .. i love em for their uniqueness, in the same way i love Tool.

And i think theyre only getting better (which also contradicts MANY hardcore fans opinions... but i think im right)

Yep, and so do many of the other hardcore fans on their boards and in rl. Trust me im not alone. Its either you like the self-titled the best, or you like mezmerize the best. If anyone was to say they liked Steal This Album the best theyd be joking, Toxicity.. well that would be understandable since it did kick ass.

But theyve only grown as a band, and with Daron now doing a lot of the vocals, their songs are more polished than ever before.


Even if my opinion was wrong (which it obv isnt because that doesnt make sense), i fail to see how it would be a "problem".. rofl

i really like their 1st but toxicity is my favorite. steal this album had a few gems on it. i liked hypnotize & mesmerize too but i dont think those were their best. the break can be a good thing - we'll see

Damn, I didn't even know he was releasing a solo.....I'm a big ass SOAD fan....I guess I like their first album best, although I had it on a cd with the second one so I listened to both of them straight thru usually....steal this album was coo, and I liked the second one more than the first one out of Hypnotize/Mesmerize....I think....I don't remember, but I know I'm finna throw all of these on a mp3 disc with Serj's album so I can knock it in the streets of Oakland....LOL

anyone have other SOAD songs that aren't on their albums? I know I have a couple, like Snowblind, Johnny, some demo shit.....I think its on the other computer tho....

I also found a few other songs: storaged, metro, temper (although this cuts off), pussy whipped, outer space, mushroom cult, outer space, virginity, and "will they die for you" with puff daddy LOL

But yea if you wanna find the SOAD version on the net you might hafta look up SHAME not Shame on a nigga. They cut off the rest when SOAD covered haha. song gets me hella hyphy

soad gets me more hyphy than hyphy songs do usually.....unless I'm drunk
