The NFL's been making money long since before the Pats got good, but I see what you're saying.

out of all this madness, I have to say...

^^^what do u mean? he faced his punishment already. none of this is new to anyone on the inside, goodell knew what he did and fined him the fighest fine and the pats 250k and lost a 1st round draft pick. so he did fine us but like i said goodell feels that they didnt gain any advantage out of it and bilechick said he thought it was legal and handed him everything dating to when he started. being honest and handing out everything u done is prolly big points and why he didnt get suspended

^^^^^^well if these tapings have been going on ever since Bilichick took over as head coach in 2000 from what Goodell was telling Specter....that means more than those 6 games have been compromised....which means more fines should be on its way.....maybe even take away wins and/or rings.

^^^^^not at all my man. theres no way the rings will go cause goodell felt that the tapes didnt do shit. and he said there was 6 tapes but alot of the times ppl taper over games and such and he knows it was goin down since 00 because of the notes. this is pretty much over IMO cause i feel bilechick isnt hiding shit from the commisioner but he just doesnt want to spread the business publicly. i mean anyone see the thing they were taping? it really isnt much at all and if it was a big thing then we wouldnt of lost to the colts last year since we did play em in the reg season. i feel it's just blown way outta proportion and having the gov.t involved lets me know why everyone hates this country lol

My last sentence you quoted lets you know Im jokin more than anything else.

I still think Belle the Chick is a great coach, regardless.

you should know I'm not a hater.

Karma what? I remember when your team had a little man in a 3 pt position on their helmets and were 1-15. I was watching back then...if its karma, then its from back then, too.

i didnt take it as hate even if u were kidding lol. but it's kinda true. i mean there was a HUGE call when eli slipped away for the big pass that was never called and i was able to see it. i mean u never know but imma just take it for what it is and thats the giants are the champs they earned it and i'm ready for next season.

If those tapes weren't a big deal then why did Goodell destroy them? The fact that he destroyed them raises many suspicions.

I guess an asterisk next to those rings would be a good idea.

^^^^remember u dont know nothing about this but what he says so to put an asterisk in front of rings is a dumb thing to say as of right now. i only follow what i hear and according to goodell he destroyed the evidence because the jets taped leak and he didnt want it public and so if more came up besided the shit he had then he would know he was lied to. i mean i seen the jest tape and i was wondering why risk maybe getting booted for that? i mean because u literally gain nothing from what they were taping but then bilechick said he thought it was legal which i'll believe cause i dont think anyone is dumb enough to do that and risk ur job for soemthing as little as that. the thing i wonder is who showed him that technique? i mean i highly doubt his 1st year as head coach he figures lets tape defenses. i dunno all i know is what they say and as of right now the tapes arent that much to erase wins or put *near the rings

i agreed with everything u said up untill this point. Imma go back to the business side of it, and again and this is how i see it. I think the gov. felt they needed to get involved. The money the Pats and the NFL could lose now is crazy, who would pay to see their team get beat by known cheaters? ... i wouldnt waste money on it. Everything revolves money, its a known fact. So i think the gov. stepped in to make sure this doesnt happen again, and to show everyone in this country that something is getting done about the current issue. the NFL is a big part of revenue in the country, just like the NHL, NBA, MLB ect. who runs the country?.. congress men, ect, ect. Gotta protect their investment to keep the country flowin with money. Seems far fetched but u gotta think about it, if the NFL started failing, people would go broke.

the problem is it isnt the govt getting involved, it's just one bitter eagle fan that happens to have power. i mean it was already done and was never gonna happen again with goodell fining the team and coach. but this guy isnt tryin to make sure it doesnt happen again he just wants proof that they cheated against the eagles which is why he's still pissy about it cause when he asked goodell about the Pennsylvania teams there was no evidence so he has to continue his search for some which is fucking dumb. i mean if he just wanted it to officially stop which it did WAY before he even got into it then he woulda just minded his buisness. if u really think this guy is looking out for the NFL and there teams then u should read more into this cause all this guy is doing is making a stink out of something that doesnt need to be brought up again.

Cheating is cheating my friend....you can gain alot from just taping a walk through......imagine if the Patties taped the Giants walk through....remember that TD pass top Burress? hmmmmmm ESPN showed part of the Giants walkthrough clip on TV after the game.....now what if, just what if they taped the Giants walk through? The Pats may have prevented that TD......but anyways......if Bilichick really did started taping from 2000 and on......those are some serious compromises if he used those tapes to his advantage.....I'm not bagging on the Pats, but I don't see it as being fair to other teams or the league......The Pats are a very solid team, but if there really is evidence that they were cheating the need to face the consequences.....maybe a Bilichick suspension......just saying tho.

^^^believe me i agree and i am very pissed that he did what he did, but like i said we only know what goodell is saying and as of right now he's saying there is no evidence what so ever of them taping the walk through of the rams. bilechick was taping the defenses and once again goodell said u couldnt gain anything from it judging by the notes and film. and what i say i figured u cant really have an adge or gain much knoledge unless u truly knew what there signals were. i mean the reason why i belive belichick is because they only taped defenses and never went far into a team just sitting on the sideline taping them. i mean i dont see why he would try and cheat and just do half of the team. i think he tried bending the rules and figured what he was legal but it wasnt and he was made an example that the other teams shouldnt try to do this shit. i mean really read up on it and it seems like we were TRYING to get an edge and really never got one.

Goodell isn’t a head coach either…what he sees as no advantage…a coach may.

You can say all you want that no edge was gained…but then why else would the Pats be taping signals since 2000? That’s 7 YEARS of taping. They are obviously doing it for a reason. If you aren’t noticing anything on the tapes…you wouldn’t continue to do it for 7 freakin’ years.

Face it…your team cheats…..

If it was a different team…you would be questioning them and their Super Bowls too.

well he said according to the notes they they dont seem to get an advantage and the reason they could've did it was because belichick really thought it was legal and it was a way to get around a rule. i could be wrong and u could be wrong and as of right now we may never know

I know tha gov. should be worryin about other things.. but I also am glad they are worrying about our sports as well... I mean come on these guys are getting paid more money in a single season then most of us well ever see in a lifetime!
it aint the gov though it's just one pissy fan that has power. and the only way i see a logical reason to get the gov involved is if the NFL didnt do shit about it and let them be on there way but they actually took action so why get into something that has already been finished? he's just looking for a reason the eagles lost lol he's a republican and he's a joke

Why? Its god damn entertainment? Who cares how much those guys are making? They are the ones with the physical gifts, tremendous work ethic, and talent that it takes to be in that position. That does not mean the government should be wasting taxpayer time and more to the point, taxpayer money to find out who did what against the rules in a franchise of a PRIVATE SECTOR ENTERTAINMENT company. Its ridiculous when there's serious shit going on that could be getting addressed, but no, the senate has to make sure the Pats dont record defensive sets and congress has to find out if god damn Roger Clemens is lying about steroids or not. I'm sorry but this shit is not government business, this is NFL and MLB business and the fucked up part about it is theres plenty of shit that actually is government business that wont get dealt with because they fucked off everybodys time and money on this meaningless shit.
