I remember getting bashed on by a dozen Seatlle fans telling me this and that about the trades in the off-season.

Well, its exhibition time and they are 0-6.
Anaheim smashed them today, yet I got clowned on for calling Seattles defense over-rated and weak.

Can someone please give me a good excuse for such poor play..I haven't found one yet.

You lost credibility due to your last statement I have in quotes.Most guys get an AB or 2,and are out by the 4th inning.Also,you got 18 year olds playing who can be as many as 4 years away from seeing the Show,so how does that tell you who's gonna win a division.Just look at last year,and tell me why we did'nt see a Montreal-Seattle World Series?Because Spring Training don't mean jack shit.

6-0, 0-6, it's all the same in Spring Training. Last year in ST the A's smashed on the Angels in one game and won like 26-3 or some shit but we all know how that ended.

I'm not saying Seattle won't come in last, they still might but I think the whole AL West will be hella close. I'm just saying Spring Training isn't a good way to gauge how a team's gonna do. Players go in and get pulled out when they normally wouldn't... There's guys out there that won't even be on the roster when the season starts... ST games mean nothing.

Spring Training means absolute dick. The starting pitching question mark is a valid criticism, spring training record is not.

And the vast majority of SEA fans would consider Anaheim the favorite in the West. Bammer's right you are looking for stuff that ain't there.

If it was the start of the season it would be "Its just the start...there are so many games in baseball".

If it was the middle it would probably be some other type of criticism on the manager or the way they have played it.

If it was the end of the season it would be another fluke M excuse...topped off with a criticism.

Im just stating how M fans are..in general..including this board.
