Season started a whole new sound...I don't mean just the lyrics but more on the production end. For a good 5 years after that album dropped everybody in northern cali was using those mob beats wit the heavy basslines and melodic strings. I think that lynch wouldn't had got the same status he has now if he put out loaded and never dropped season. However i can't say the same for loaded, i think that even without that album he would still have the same fanbase.

I guess what i'm saying is no season = no lynch, at least not at the level he is at now.. If he never dropped season i think most muthafuckas would be like "who the fuck is Brotha Lynch??" and we wouldn't even be discusing him..
What's good? What part of CO you from?

I never thought of it from the perspective of its impact. That's really interesting. As far as a personal best album for Lynch, I'd still say Loaded. In SODS' defense though, it was the only cd of mine to ever be stolen, and it was stolen twice.

I was in high school when both them cds came out and Season had way more of an impact, mothafuckas was some what disappointed when Loaded came out and Season to this day is far from lame, the production on that album is amazing and Lynch ripped it all the way through. His most personal track he ever made was Liquor Sicc, i wish somebody would tell him that track was lame.

Sorry homie, but SODS didn't set any trends beat wise. C-Bo had two albums before that shit came out on some mob shit, as did most of the Bay (Vallejo). In fact, all Lynch did was use G-Funk based beats and made them dark....G-Funk had already been around for several years before SODS came out.

lol Lynch's beats sounded NOTHING like the bay sound. He didn't sample them and make em dark. . .

I didn't really consider those beats g-funk.. And i know there was mob shit before lynch but not wit the same type sound..and after that album everybody in sac was using that sound..

AOD still cant comprehend the English language...baffling.

Why are you even back here? Didnt you get laughed off the boards 3 years ago? Glutton for punishment i see....
Please, I got banned for telling the truth about some buster. And letting people know the pigs were secretly on this board. You had to jump in and open your big mouth talkin shit. But I dont give a fucc about some internet post from 5 years ago. . .

I don't recall anyone laughin except me. Just a fake "pimp" getting his feelings hurt when the truth was told and running to a moderator or 2 to ban me. . .

Both albums were groundbreaking

Snoop and many other successful artists who are still relevant today bumped season as motivation back in the day and publicly stated it however loaded took some balls to manufacture and put out, everyone at the time in 97 including me expected agent deuce four part two and all that shit but when loaded came out it went over alot of peoples heads it was easily the most innovative album of its time

Season did sell more than Loaded however loaded sold more in the first year then season did in the first 3 years in fact it didnt go gold until almost a decade after its release

i could go on and on for days about both albums but in my chev loaded gets 10x more play then season and honestly 24 deep gets more play then season now a days in the chev season is basically the sac version of the chronic, an extremely played out album like every other classic groundbreaking album

my vote = loaded even with DE's lame ass on it

loaded for me!!!!!!! at first i was like waht the freak is this when that shit came out on tape, i was like where the freak is the cd at??? and then i got it on cd as some fool bought my tape, after awhile it grew on me, and now its classic lynch material!!!!!!
the season of the sicc was cool when it came out was bumpin that on tape with some of my folks and wasnt even paying attention to the lyrics just the flowstyle and production which was tight and we got spoiled by it and then loaded dropped and was on way different level and was a couple of listens b4 it sank in!!!!!!! try it HIgh!!!!! one mo pound fo life!!!!!!!!
