I just got some tickets to this game! Hell yeah, I can't wait. I don't care if we win or lose. This team has done a lot since starting off at 2-6.

i still cant believe tavaris jackson threw the ball out of bounds on 4th down wiht like 16 seconds left on the clock. what the fuck was he thinking?

didnt even give his team a chance at all, plus that fumble. im not delusional, i know there was extremely little to no chance at all of making a play there, but to not even take the chance at all? shaking my damn head

Nike creates Skittles shoes for Marshawn Lynch
Published: Dec. 28, 2011 at 12:45 PM

SEATTLE, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Nike released photos of custom-made shoes designed for Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch with his famous Skittles habit in mind.

The shoes, which Nike pictured on its @usnikefootball Twitter account, celebrate Lynch's famous habit of popping a handful of Skittles into his mouth after every touchdown by picturing the fruit-flavored candy on the sides of the shoes, Seattlepi.com reported Wednesday.

Marshawn Lynch: Seahawks Star Running Back Fined for Skittles Shoes

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has been fined $10,000 by the NFL for wearing cleats with a Skittles design during last week's game against San Francisco.

It was the second uniform infraction by Lynch this month. A few weeks ago he had to cough up $5,000 for wearing lime green socks on Monday Night Football.

Although the fines are inconvenient, Lynch should have no trouble making up the money. He is an unrestricted free agent after this season and will be receiving a massive contract in the spring.

Carroll is on 170ESPN right now. Best thing he has said so far is that the QB position is just like any other position, and there will be OPEN COMPETITION for next year. He said he already has spoken to Portis and Tavaris (no mention of clipboard), and stated that they better be ready to come back and compete.

He said he named TJ the starter because of the short training camp, TJ knowing the system, and he was trying to give TJ some stability to give him some confidence.

Also said Flynn's performance wasn't about Flynn, it was about the program and that program is what Carroll wants to emmulate.
This was posted on a Seahawks message board less than an hour ago.

As long as CBJ isn't mentioned, I'm all good with this open competition.

Yards are cool and all, but Beast Mode put up 12 TDs to Forte's 3.

#BeastMode
Forte had the most yards from scrimmage in the entire NFL at the time of the injury. He was about 49% of chicago's entire offense (997 yards rushing, 52 receptions for 490 yards (1,4497 total yards)).

I love beast mode & forte equally, but Forte was much more of a factor in chicago's success (7-3 before the injuries) than beast mode was for seattle. Beast mode struggled early in the year, but came on strong to finish it.

Two totally different backs obviously, beast mode is a rushing beast, but forte is much, much more versatile can run, can catch, can get tough yards can break away for the long ones, he does it all.

2012 NFL Draft Order Preliminary Look for Seattle Seahawks

The preliminary 2012 NFL Draft order is out, giving Seattle Seahawks fans a good look at where the team will get to select players during the offseason. Losing on the last weekend of the season (Jan. 1 against Arizona Cardinals) will give the Seahawks a good position in the 2012 NFL Draft. Quite a few 7-8 teams won games in that last week to improve to 8-8 and finish with better records than the 7-9 Seahawks as well.

In the 2012 NFL Draft order, Seattle will have either the No. 11 or No. 12 overall selection. The Seahawks finish tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for that No. 11 spot and now a coin flip at the NFL Scouting Combine will help decide which team goes first. That's not too bad at all, as it means the Seahawks should have a shot at some elite level talent at that point of the first round. With a lot of teams needing a quarterback that draft in the top 12 though, it's hard to envision any elite quarterbacks staying on the board for very long.

As for the other teams in the NFC West, the St. Louis Rams will draft No. 2 and the Arizona Cardinals will draft No. 13. We won't know where the San Francisco 49ers will get slotted until they are eliminated from the 2012 NFC Playoffs. It means some more elite college football prospects are coming to the NFC West, a division that appears to have started hoarding picks in the top 10.

The Sporting News projects the Seahawks will target LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne in the first round of the draft, but that pick doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Maybe this is another web site that doesn't pay much attention to football in the Pacific Northwest, but the biggest strength of the Seahawks is their secondary. Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas, Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner are all returning for the 2012 season, so the Seahawks need to look at other areas of improvement before adding more depth in the secondary.

Hopefully a number of underclassman that haven't committed to the next draft do so to help strengthen the field and further guarantee that Seattle can get a nice player at No. 11 or No. 12.
