There was an article on PFF about why the rest of the league should fear the Hawks in terms of getting to the SB. One of the reason? The OL is awful. Weird...right? But the idea is that despite how bad they are, and our record...the rest of the league better hope we NEVER get the OL going otherwise we will be near unstoppable...
Without question they would dominate.
Just think about how many stars are on this team and top five in the league at their position. Russell Wilson. Earl Thomas. Richard Sherman. Kam Chancellor. Bobby Wagner. Michael Bennett. Cliff Avril. Jimmy Graham. Doug Baldwin. John Ryan. Steven Hauschka.
That's 11 guys who are top five in the NFL at their position, 12 if you include KJ Wright! All on the same team!
Sometimes we, or at least this is true for me, we get caught up in the games and forget/take for granted just how talented this team is. The amount of stars and top players is unheard of, at least it is for five years straight. Typically a team like this will last one to two seasons before they all get big contracts elsewhere. You don't see this happen often if ever in the modern era. And what's great about it is most all these guys are home grown players, guys we draft, with exception to Graham and the d-lineman who you absolutely have to figure out in free agency these days because they are so valuable in the draft. I haven't loved a teams roster like this since the Lovie Smith Bears, and it was really only on the defense they were loaded and mediocre guys on offense.
This is by far the most well balanced team in the NFL and the only weakness they have is the offensive line, they've had to sacrifice somewhere with the amount of stars on this team, so yeah, without question they would be unstoppable if they actually had a great o-line.
