'94 49ers. Week 5. Home game against Philly. They get stomped 40-8, absolutely destroyed at home . They fall to 3-2. No way this team is any good. Of course they go 13-1 the rest of the way and win the Superbowl. Now obviously I'm not saying this is that team and I'm not making comparisons. Simple point - it's still early, still plenty of time to fix problems, it's not the end of the world, no need to call it quits and freak out.

or the 93 cowboys, or 01 pats, or 03 pats both started 0-2 lol and won the super bowl, the niners going 13-1 the rest of the way, they didnt play there starters on the last game, should have been 14-0, the other game they lost to joe montana, the eagles game i really thought "this is the super team, what the fuck is wrong" i was sick, seeing steve crawl on the ground, and him getting pulled from the game, charlie garners first game too, and he tore us up.

Keys points:

Percy Harvin had 6 touches (3 runs & 3 passes) for -1 yards on the day.

Meanwhile Marshawn had 10 carries for 61 yards.

Darrell Bevell is a fucking ediot. He calls plays like a college o coordinator. Bubble screens and end-arounds need to be used to COMPLIMENT traditional routes and stretching the field. If you only run Percy on those type of plays then the D is just sitting there salivating waiting for them....as the Cowboys did all game.

One of the most dynamic players in football had -1 yard on 6 plays. That is on the offense coordinator. Learn to use your players.

The defense is having some issues yes, but you can't expect those guys to be on the field 70% of the game and not get gassed.

Nah I love the read options. I just don't like when they try to be too creative with Harvin. I understand the occasional end around or whatever but it's like ever possesson they are using him as a RB, or one of those quick passes to him on the line of scrimmage. They don't need to be doing that shit every time they have the ball. Less Harvin (just let him run his routes).

Exactly. They don't know how to use Harvin.

Here is how they use Harvin now:

Here is how they should use Harvin:

In Percy's best season in Minnesota he was being targeted 10-12 times a game and rushing 3-4.

Now he is being targeted (mostly short routes and screens) 5-6 times a game and rushing 3-4.

It worked the first 2 games of the season but now everyone figured it out.

I think we all agree Bevell was the main problem. Lynch had two carries in the first half, TWO. And one of them was the first play of the game for 5 yards. Hopefully they all have a good sit down and knock some sense into him. Run the ball. Then run it some more. Harvin is here to compliment the offense, he's not the center piece. The team is built around Lynch not gimmicky plays to Percy. Get it together Bevell.

it goes like this, champions die hard, i wont count the hawks out, till the nail is in the coffin, anybody counting out a 3-2 team is a fucking retard.
Im counting them out. Now. If im a retard for that, so fuckin what? Twice this year we have looked like straight ass on offense and defense. This is only the 2nd time we have lost at home with Russell. Thats kind of a big deal.

There were several games last year and the year before where a play here or there happen and they lose. We all know Wilson should have another L at home to green bay on the fail mary play.

We might be getting Simon this week. Lane will be ready by weak 9. The secondary will get better once these guys get healthy. The offense, I know are going to get back to the basics. They just got carried away trying to FORCE Harvin in every play rather than letting the offense evolve naturally.

Tate caught that ball...video evidence proves it

Yes, we might. But he is fresh off of rehab from ankle surgery, so im not holding my breath.

The 2ndary better get better becuase the LOB has been pretty "meh" this year IMHO. I cant remember a game where ET and Kam were so non-existent.

While i do agree about Harvin, why the FUCK isnt he running, you know....REAL WR routes down field? Why only use him in the short game? Makes no sense...he is a DEEP THREAT. Use him as such. Its hard to believe a team could misuse a weapon so terribly. Run the ball, set up the deep pass. #SIMPLE SCIENCE

I think we're all asking the same questions im Seattle. All the sports radio stations since the game thats what everyone is talking about - why aren't we running and why is Bevell only using Harvin in bubble screens and fly sweeps. I have no fucking clue why he's not playing the role that Golden Tate played last year. He's one of the fasted guys in the NFL and they don't even try to stretch the field at all? Further, what's up with our WR draft picks? Instead of them getting playing time we got Walters in there who sucks. He's a crappy WR and he's an average punt returner at best. WTF is he doing in there on third downs? Where the fuck is Richardson and Norwood? Walters is shit.

On the glass half full way of looking at, you can say we just went 3-2 through a monster stretch - Green Bay, San Diego, Denver, Redskins and Cowboys. Obviously the skins aint shit but the others are top teams in the NFL. Thats a tough schedule for any team right off the bat to start the season. If the team can get into a rhythm, hopefully they'll be ready for that SF-Philly-SF three week stretchstarting late November.

the next 5 games you should only have one team really giving you competition, the panthers....well maybe KC but I can see the hawks winning all of those games....but to not give credit to the cardinals is retarded, you should hope your team doesn't share the same sentiments because the cardinals blanket that 3 week stretch

I give them credit now, I just have a feeling they're going to crumble by then. Or at least thats what I'm hoping.
