Awesome, lol of course Lynch doesn't even go! Obama was hilarious:

"I am sorry that Marshawn is not here, because I just wanted to say how much I admire his approach to the press," Obama said. "I wanted to get some tips from him. It’s about the action."

Whoever prepped Obama definitely did their research he made a ton of Seahawk references that only fans of the team would really know about. Anyways, was really cool to see.

Golden Tate: Seahawks will receive Super Bowl rings June 19

Wide receiver Golden Tate is no longer a member of the Seattle Seahawks after signing a free-agent deal with the Detroit Lions in March, but he’s still breaking news about his former team, revealing that the Hawks will receive their Super Bowl rings on June 19.

Tate let the story slip while being interviewed by Dave “Softy” Mahler on KJR-FM Wednesday afternoon, just hours after reuniting with his former teammates at a ceremony honoring the Super Bowl XLVIII champions at the White House. Mahler tweeted about the revelation after the interview concluded, as did some observant Hawks fans.

The team has not yet announced a date for the ceremony.

Tate was one of several former Seahawks with the team at the White House on Wednesday, joining Brandon Browner Red Bryant, Clinton McDaniel and Walter Thurmond, among others. He posted a couple of pictures from the event to his Instagram account.

The reason Marshawn Lynch skipped Seahawks' White House trip

When it came to visiting the White House, Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was not about that action, boss.

On Wednesday, the champs dropped in on President Barack Obama in the customary trip for the Super Bowl winners, touring the White House and presenting the POTUS with a 12th Man flag.

Lynch, whose penchant for shying away from the limelight became well-known during Super Bowl media week, was noticeably absent. Now we know why, thanks to his mother.

“He just said he didn’t want to go,” she told The Seattle Times.

Delisa Lynch said Marshawn Lynch has been mourning the recent death of a family member. But she said they’d had some recent talks and she thought her son was going to attend the ceremony anyway

“No particular reason was given to me,’’ she said. “He just said he didn’t want to go."

There you have it. Lynch treated a visit to the White House like a rainy Saturday night, deciding he would rather stay in than go to the movies. At least he’s consistent.

I was wondering when they were going to get their rings. I'm anxious to see what they look like.
