Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson will still be at Rangers spring training

Oh snap... a World Series Ring too maybe? Lol... he just gets to kick it for $12k,

Winning the Super Bowl won't keep Seahawks quarterback, and Rangers second base prospect, Russell Wilson from appearing at the team's spring training activities, according to Fox Sports' Jon Morosi.

Wilson was selected in this winter's Rule Five draft by the Rangers, because, apparently, it's just really fun for pro sports teams to draft him.

He was originally drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 41st round of the 2007 amateur draft out of Collegiate High School in Richmond, Virginia, but he didn't sign with the team, choosing instead to attend college at North Carolina State. The Rockies drafted him in the fourth round of the 2010 amateur draft — before Wilson transferred to Wisconsin — and he played two seasons in the low minors of Colorado's farm system.

In 93 games, he owns a career batting line of .229/.354/.356 with five home runs and 19 stolen bases in 27 attempts.

He's not exactly a candidate to break camp with the team, though. The Rangers will bring him in to help them continue to emphasis a "winning environment." However, the agreement is a pretty sweet deal for Wilson as well. He gets paid $12,000 to go hang out with MLB players in spring training, and can throw the ball around and hit against professional baseball players once more. So, while it's not quite the Super Bowl, it's a pretty cool way to spend the offseason.
