Scottie Pippen or Kobe?

Exactly how is Pippen anywhere near as good as Kobe? I would take Rodman from that team way before I would take Pippen. You claiming "this isnt a Laker bashing thread" gave me the imediate impression that it was; I figured it would be in one way or another, and I was right. Comparing these two is worse then comparing Jordan and Kobe, by far. As to your question, I would take Kobe now over Pippen in his best season ever without looking back.
There are rumors that he could be going to Memphis, exactly who would he be second to on that team, and by all means, don't take back what you said, please name someone to cover your ass, maybe Gasol?

Yeah, Pippen has done a great deal for the Blazers since his arrival, made them a whole lot better, it should be obvious when you see Well's spitting on fans and Wallace getting T'd up every other game. Damn it must hurt to hate. Its good to see even those that hate the Lakers admitting the truth, but some just cannot be helped.

Being compared to Scottie Pippen is a good thing so what da hell u talkin about? Pippen is easily one of them top 10 players EVER! He might not have been a big scorer like Kobe, but the difference he made meant alot. Lets not forget, Jordan didnt have the missint piece to his championship puzzle until he came.
Lets remember.....when Jordan left the Bulls for that year and a half, didnt Scottie Pippen lead the Bulls to the playoffs both seasons? They got knocked out both times but he still got them there. Kobe on the other hand, without Shaq, the lakers wouldnt have saw the playoffs this year. Kobe is a more exciting player to watch and he's a better scorer, but Scottie Pippen knows how to carry a team and thats what matters.
You can't put it like that. First of all, if Shaq retired, and they used the salary they payed him for other players to add depth, Kobe would easily take them to the playoffs. Secondly, even if that weren't the case, this Laker team is built solely around two players, something that was never present with the Bulls dynasty, so the scenerio of "take this player out and see what you have" doesn't work the same with both teams.
