all the so called "excuses" we as fans made were actually true.

the oline sucks balls, the receivers cant fucking catch and the running back is too small. still. vick made this team what it was and for all the flack he always caught for this teams losses, he was more UNDERRATED than OVERRATED. overrated is what a lot of people called him but in reality everyone said he sucked so how was he overrated? overhyped? maybe. overrated. definitely not.

myths debunked
1)throws too hard - harrington has a noodle arm and they still dont catch
2)too fast coming out of the snap confusing his oline - they still suck. vick evaded more sacks than he supposedly "ran into"
3)he cant read a defense - he wasnt allowed to audible so if he saw a no win situation he had to run
4)his first instinct was to run - DO YOU FUCKING BLAME HIM??????
5)vick benefited from a good rushing attack - it was the other way around. he helped warrick dunn keep a job.

sorry im just frustrated at this season and knowing vick was the fuel to this teams fire.

after all these years hearing the criticisms its nice to be justified in defending the best qb atlanta has ever had. bar none.

the mike vick situation is plain sad homie.that dude ruin his life! for real he had it made, most of us would kill to be in his postion and he threw it all away over some bull shit
so why is their sympathy? its sad i agree, but its a decision he made. thats almost like sayin a drunk guy choose to drive a car and killed 2 people in a wreck. but he was a millionaire so he lost all that money and his freedom. it was his dumbass who made that decision to get in the car and in vicks case was his decision to fight dogs and then kill them after.

when you one of the faces of the NFL and you can barely get your team to the playoffs. you are overrated
peyton manning would die behind that oline. believe that. you think manning has some special gift that makes the oline block well and the receivers catch? no. sorry. ask tom brady how much his oline means to him. vick got blamed for the teams faults. he was the only spark they had and its painfully obvious now. the falcons would NOT be 1-5 with vick at the helm. look at the run game. not only did his yardage contribute to the most potent rushing attack in the league, but defenses accounting for his prowess made everyone else around him better. the falcons havent had a 100 yard rushing game this year. vick WAS the falcons whether you agree or not. and yes hes a dumbass. i didnt start this thread to go on about how HE alone is to blame for his downfall. im just stating the painfully obvious fact that he was NOT overrated. the boy CARRIED this team.

it only takes open eyes to see that vick was the ONLY reason the falcons had a chance to win the last 6 years. why is it that the falcons have one win this season and everyone expects it? last year if the falcons only had one win there would be turmoil. we were 4-2 this time last year. playiing a much tougher schedule.
