Sawed off shotguns, filing barrels.

word good looks. i figured thats what i needed to do but i didnt know if certain shotguns had harder metal to cut through, or if its harder with a double barrel, or what the case is.

i dont want to fuck up a brand new shotgun if it aint gon shoot right

i aint never tried with a double barrell, and my homie had a mossberg 12 ga sawed off bacc in the day(never asked if he sawed it off himself), but ive only tried with my ithica. but there was a couple times when i was in big 5 and i was checcin out the shottys, and i did notice the other brands 20gauges had thicker metal for the barrell than mine.........

i dont think shotgun shells are like regular casings as far as the ballistics. i dont think they can match an expended shotty shell to a specific gun like they can with any other strap and expended shell

yeah man, im big five bound..i went two or three times to peep...its just a car gun for me but its a hop out type deal you aint gon shoot a shotgun in the car...so im trying to figure out if theres a right shotty to get in that case or if i can look at it like a mathetmatical deal, you know if you buy a gun they got the barrel length and all that on paper.

sawing off the barrel does fuck up the accuracy hella bad...

just depends on the type of gun and how short u saw it. i had a long barrell colt .38 and i sawed like 3-4 inches off the barrell and it still shot like a champ. i did it with a smith & wesson, and it fucced it up. i think imma have to try that shit with a .44

the shorter you saw it off...the more the pellets spread when you shoot it..

and it does more damage when you shoot someone at a close range....

that's why it's illegal to saw them off..

a regular cartridge spins when leaving the barrell of a gun, therefore leaving the ballistic imprints. shotgun shells dont spin, the case is exploded open and ejected right away, and the pellets are sent straight out, no rotation. i bet if u were to compare expended shells from 2 different shottys(but exact same model and gauge) there wouldnt be any ballistic difference, making it impossible to identify a shell to a SPECIFIC gun
