i know nothing about shotguns. ive fired one once, thats it.

Question:
I hear some shotguns cannot be sawed off due to velocity and can cause phyical damage. Whats my best bet? I know shotguns are made out of different material, as well. what would you suggest as a brand with easily sawed metal, and what should i stick to as far as sawing inches?

i know you guys kill alot of people and are real gangsters so i just wanted to ask, thanks

also, can i file the diameter of shotgun barrels, or does that obstruct firing, and if so, in what way? does it spread out quicker or kick back harder?

I got an ithica 20 gauge and i sawed off the barrell hella short, all the way down to the top of the pump, probably a good 7-8 inches. i also sawed off the handle down to where the screws were holding in the wood, making it almost like a pistol grip. all i used was a hacksaw from home depot, and that shit still fire on point, and its hella lighter. its hella small for a shotty, and i got a little pool sticc case that holds that shit perfect.

im just tryna make room in the bottom of my backseat.(or in the cushion of the backseat, either or) im not sayin im tryna kill no one, im just "pimping my ride".

i know a regular shotty cant fit
one might be able to fit vertical if i cut some plastic

but thats through my trunk to the backseat

just curious, anyone ever sawed the barrell off a .38 or .357??? i sawed the barrell hella short on 2 different .38's and on 1 it didint affect the accuracy, just made it lighter, but the other one it fucced up the accuracy hella bad.

did it saw clean? i was thinking a hacksaw would cause problems.
how long did it take you? i was just gonna buy a real saw..

did you file the in and outside after?

i started filing the inside of a barrel for a .38 but never finished because i really didnt have the tools to get that far...as far as sawing..nah

im trying to throw off ballistics, they can tell how a bullet comes out a barrel
none of this is even hidden shit i guess thats why i made a thread about it

i was thinking jagged edges might fuck up a bullets traveling, im not tryna catch a backfire form a shotty

the hacksaw worked wit no problem, i think i paid like $12 for it at home depot and it came with a couple extra blades. it sawed through that shit hella clean, and it took me like 30 min for the barrell and 45 for the handle. for the barrell i used a metal file and yea i filed that shit smooth as hell, inside the edge of the barrell and around the top of it. for the handle i used sandpaper, and just went around the edges to smooth it out.

i was thinking revolvers and semi's and rifles and all other types of guns besides shottys have threads inside the barrell to make the bullet spin as its fired, leaving the ballistics imprints u talkin about, so thats why when a revolver or rifle is sawed off, it can fucc up the accuracy. the pellets from a shotty are ejected from the shell and dont need to spin, and i dont think the barrell length has shit to do with the accuracy.

what im trying to say is even if u did leave jagged edges, i dont think it would backfire or even fucc up the accuracy
