Man. im from the oak grove area..(roundtable drive) oakgrove was my home school. and i didnt even get halla'd at about this event... ok

i learned about this event from my young dudes. log on and its all on the net. close to 100 people have hit me up askin why i wasnt apart. they all ask if it was personal why i was apart.

i appreciate. kontact doin this event. buller. was the only teacher that still gave me high school credits when i would get locked up rite b4 the end of the semesters.
'wish i could have been involved.

but hey.

i guess shit happens.

I would rather deal with this offline through a phone call or person to person meet up, but since you've opted to get online and express your feelings about this event that is for our children and our school's, I will reply.

The proper way to have approached this topic would have been; "I would have liked to have been a bigger part of this, but since it's in motion what can I do to help?". But hey, I'm not in the business of telling a grown man how to speak his mind or handle his personal affairs.

I've watched how you've made it a point numerous times to mention you thank "kontac" for doing this event and for whatever reason leave out others involved. It's totally okay, Kontac was the spark and the other 3 of us: Hayves Streeter of Cadre Media, Suga Kane of Tha Unda & Myself of 408INC we're the one's who got with him to light the flame. This included attending S.O.S. Committee Meetings with parents and teachers. Conference calls with Ed Buller and other board members.

Now with that being said, we've hit every avenue with this on promotion. 408INC.COM, Myspace, Twitter, Facebook, Siccness, Streets, Schools, Marquee's on the schools, the School Loop, Parent Boosters, 90.5 KSJS, KTVU, Mercury News, Metro, Mass Text Messaging, Email Blast etc. If you're just hearing about it, that's odd. You have an account at all of these things I listed damn near and we're strangely missed again? Not the case. I can name 75 other SSSJ Artists from that area who are also not a part of this but if found out about it they would offer help.

408INC is the hub site to the southbay and what's going on. It's been listed there for well over a month. Please don't use the excuse that your a street cat and not online much, because once again...you have an account on all of these major sites that I know you check for a fact.

We've had nothing but GREAT responses to this event from artists donating their time to help or to just donate money for the cause. Artists like the following have donated money to the cause with NO complaints: Gangsta Reese, Big Shea, Diego De La Tierra, Stik Gilatine, Dj Dirtte Dave, Kerse Locs, Smokie Loco, Sydal & more I cannot remember off the top of my head.

There are numerous ways you can help, let's see:

1.) Invite those "100" people who contacted you to the show to support even though you are not performing.

2.) Take this flyer http://www.408inc.com/sosfullweb.jpg and put that on your myspace or bulletin out on myspace and or twitter to help get the word out.

3.) Buy some tickets in bulk like "radiostationrep" did and donate them to the kids who don't have the money to go.

4.) Go to www.408incshop.com and donate even $5 to the cause on the donation link.

5.) Pick up some posters or flyers and help us get them off in the streets like so many of us are doing together right now.

Any of those ways you can help, if you really don't mind that your not on the bill to perform. I'll even do this, friday I am driving all over san jose putting up posters...I will come meet you @ style masters at 10am and pick you up so you can join me and put in some footwork for the cause. While we're doing that, you and I can discuss whatever you like about this and other events going on. You have my #, but in case you lost it: 408-649-1922 (no text messages, just call if you really want to help.)

Thank you for ending the convo off with, "right on for doing the event"...it's appreciated; but the opp to help is still there with less than 2 weeks to go, let's see if you seize the opportunity.

Stay Up.

TICKETS AND DONATION LINK IS HERE FOLKS: WWW.408INC.COM

THANKS!

Real spit, Rae.

It's not even necessary for somebody to receive a special "invite" to any event. I found out about the walk and the donations on this very website. If it's about the kids, and one wants to help the kids, one should keep his/her ear to the streets, read the news, know what's going on with the kids and the school system, and step in on his/her own time.

At the end of the day, if anybody wants to be a part of something, they have to make it happen for themselves. It's not up to the rest of the city to keep people on track, and it's not up to these VERY busy people to take time out of their day to personally invite somebody to ANY event, as they go through enough shit just to put these things together. I know Rae stays BUSY, I know Kontac stays busy, and I've seen first hand that Hayves Streeter stays busy. Fact of the matter is, again, if somebody wants to be a part of something, step in and make yourself a part of it. If you don't want to step in, it's not up to everybody else to make sure you're present.

My 2 pennies.

Oh yea, one more thing. RAE & KONTAC...I just want to say as a fellow artist, San Jose resident, and California Native...I appreciate all you guys do, not only for the rap game, but for people in general. Rap has a bad name, and because of you cats, people might finally start to ignore the stigma and realize that first and foremost, we are people...and we are a voice for a generation that is on its way to being completely fuckin' LOST!

One love to you folks.
