The funny thing about rapping now adays is that its the exact opposite of how it was in the 90s. Back then it was hella hard to get known but you could still eat off it. Now its hella easy to get known but you probably won't be able to eat cuz niggaz be dling all your shit hahaha

every region has somebody out as mainstream representation so i think they all support their own instead of everybody fixating toward one solo region.

After readin wat everyone had to say an shit..IMO its part downloading/part people not liking rap in its current state as much, among some other smaller reasons. The younger kids who are into the new wave of rap DL it cuz thats what they grew up doing. The people who are older and would probly pay for albums probly dont think its worth it anymore, alot of older dudes r disapointed with newer rap. To say whether rap is worse, or bad now i can't call it really..it could just be a generational difference the older listeners gaveor rap could really be gettin worse but its probly partly both.

So its obvious that sales in rap have been struggling...looking at soundscan you can see it, shits been going down massively especially in the past few years.

Talking about 2007 so far...

So what's going on? What do you think is the cause of this? The internet, pirating, the quality of music, over saturation, a combination of them or anything else..

lol wtf..sum weird choice words there. but i hope u aint talkin about me becuase I support my artists. I bought atleast 50 CDs in 2006, probly more then u bought. I do DL music tho, I use it to guide me to buy good music. Most people probly dont do that and just stick wit tha burnt copy, so DLin is definetly a problem. Like dude said, artists need to find better ways to make money off music on the internet, thats where the futures headed
