^^^^ well thats why its so important for Kobe to win a title this year. Last year people forget that we werent even picked to be in the playoffs at the beginning of the season. So as mad as i was we lost to the celtics, i had to give my lakers a break because we did lose to a team that had Allen, Garnett and Pierce. So it aint like we completely choked. This year though if kobe doesnt win a title their is no excuse. We are clrearly better on paper i think than the cavs or any squad we might face in the playoffs. Either way im still going to be a laker fan no matter what the outcome is and you and i both know that kobe could get 6 rings and people will still find a way to talk some non-sense because he's kobe. I would probably hate him too if he wasnt on my squad!

No he won`t be the top pick, but the odds are stacked against the Kings to get the #1 overall pick. I forget the exact number, but history has shown that the team with the worst record usually never gets the #1, which I feel is complete bs. Have the worst team get the #1 and round out the top ten with the lottery. That would be fair to me, but anyway........

Being said, the Kings #1 need is the point. If they do end up with the #1, they should either trade down, or grab Griffin. Even with all the hype over Blake, I`m not completely sold on the kid. I think he might end up being more like a Corliss Williamson. Not saying thats a bad thing, but that isn`t a #1 pick either.

I`m also not sold on Rubio just yet, but being this is the Kings and Petrie has an infatuation with overseas players, I see him being the likely pick for Sacramento.

Ty Lawson, 5-11, PG, Jr., North Carolina
Patrick Mills, 6-0, PG, Soph., Saint Mary's (heard alot about this kid)

I saw on one draft board they had the Kings drafting Griffin #1, Gani Lawal (PF, Georgia Tech) #23, and Darren Collison (PG, UCLA) #31.

By the #23 pick, all pg I mentioned were gone. We`ll see.

Gani Lawal? Hell nah...Kings need to trade down and take Rubio. I like Griffin too, but we have Thompson already. I say we take our chances on the best pg in the draft.

I say we get Griffin and trade either Thompson or Hawes for a solid PG. I have to admit, I thought Udrih was going to be pretty alright because I thought he was decent in SA but he's fucking terrible.

The thing about Griffin that bothers me is his height, but I know his athleticism can make up for it. If we do end up taking Griffin...I think we should trade for Ramon Sessions or even try to sign him in the off-season.

well we got G tyreke evans(memphis), F omri casspi(israel), F jon brockman(washington) in the draft. hope tyreke doesnt turn out to a bust, cuz we need a solid point, he seems like he would turn out great cuz his size.

i wonder who we might get in free agency?
