Royce is dope as hell. One of my favorite artists. I like the song but I just dont get why he would get involved in this. Maybe Em sent him out to do this or Royce is just doing it on his own hoping em would do something for him. Just dont see the reason behind dissing a guy for no reason unless its one of those two.

only question would be why are people still wasting time on canibus? didnt em expose him like 10 years ago?
In my opinion that "Can-I-Bitch" diss from Em was weak so I don't really think he exposed Can I..... Same for Canibus's diss towards Em which to me weren't all that! What made "2nd Round KO" a bad ass diss was that he spit facts about LL. I expected a lot more from this battle between two great lyricists so hopefully this time around they go full force.

why does everyone think 2nd Round KO was so dope??? I didnt think it was that fuccin great.....Ive heard better punches in his regular raps than in tha diss.....Can-I-Bitch seemed like more of a joke song than a diss tho....shit was corny to me.......

Canibus isn't wack, but people think he's overrated because he uses big words

Royce has more slick wordplay and punchlines, sicker flow, use of multi syllable rhyme schemes... makes better overall music... etc etc

Sadly, that's the truth.

Canibus' best album (IMO) was "Rip The Jacker" because Stoupe of Jedi Mind Tricks did the whole thing.

"For Whom The Beat Tolls" is a solid second and all the jams on that "C of Tranquility" Promo were dope as fuck.

Royce is nice, he always has been. I've been jamming "Street Hop" and the last "Bar Exam" since they dropped.

Let's see what happens..

Didn't Royce and Canibus do a song on Bar Exam 2?? Royal flush is the name of it... i think...
Yes they did, it's called "Royal Flush Freestyle" and it had Elzhi of Slum Village on it as well. I mentioned that in my original post for this thread. They also did a song on Sway and King Tech's "Back 2 Basics" with Chino XL called "I Wish U Would"

I think what Canibus really lacks as other most of the time point out is his production as well as some of his features..... His beats are weak sauce! He'll have two or three dope beats on an album and all the rest are garbage. I don't really mind since I'm a Canibus fan and enjoy his lyrics, BUT you wouldnt catch me bumping his shit loud in my car with a system. His lyrics are big as Meta4ical but they're creative and shouldn't sound like they're put together in a rhyme. I like it, I guess different strokes for different folx!

Again, the most major dispute about Canibus is his production.

I could give a fuck about the beats and just listen to acapellas, but the entire rest of the universe wants, rather needs thumping production to enjoy it. I understand that completely. He is one of the greatest MC's ever, dope beats or not, there is no disputing that fact. His rhymes are like a science lesson, you WANT to give a fuck about.

I think this whole calling Eminem out again thing, is so people will stop sleeping on him. He said it himself in "Bis Vs. Rip" - "The industry is lames, you should call out names..."

Thanks Gueroloco, it's good to hear some one else see things like I do.

Hopefully "Melatonin Majik" slaps..

Royce smashed it on that track! Don't count CanIbus out yet. This is what this new generation has been missing. Some good ole fashion LYRICS!

Did Royce use the beat from the Clipse Back By Popular Demand?

^^^ What I meant was that many of his tracks are not bumpable in a good car sound system due to his selection in beats..... There is probably 10 or so tracks I'd bump loud in my ride!

Yeah that's true. But he's a lyricist. Not too many lyricists have dope beats on every track. But oh well. I still bump his music.

Yeah that dis was pretty coo, but you're trippin if you don't think Canibus can come back from that.

Ripper Strikes Back was waaay harder than that and Canibus handled it.
