the one thing that comes to mind that i can actually compare the two is "Renegades"...original version of the song was a lot better than when Jay took Royce's spot imo...i've always liked Jigga and what he does..no question one of the better free stylists i've heard and royce is just sick when he spits and bought every album he's had since rock city...minus the web site cds..i never liked jay-z enough to buy his albums...although i would listen to them

Royce gets my vote...but i like him better than 99%

That wasn't even a typical rap battle. Royce thought they were just supposed to spit verses or something so that was his fault. That's why FAB won. Royce's first turn was better than FAB's though.

As for no classic albums, Death is Certain is considered by many fans a classic, and his other albums are damn good too. His Bar Exam mixtapes are straight fire too.

D-12 may be a weak crew, but Malcolm X is one of my favorite diss tracks ever.

You honestly think Royce didn't know what you're supposed to spit during a battle? After he's been in the underground for years? I saw it when it was first posted on allhiphop and they marketed that shit as "The All Hip Hop Rap Battle". That sounds like some after-the-fact excuses. Royce lost because he was spitting hella obvious writtens just trying to seem like a good rapper. He is, but this was in a battle atmosphere lol. Not the time nor place. FAB won it simply because he was actually spitting off the top of his dome and dissing him on stage, like you're supposed to in a battle.
