Thizz was the shit when dre was alive. Dre help create the movment an orginator. He had good quality control.

Thizz reminds me of the outlaws when pac died. They had no direction and couldn't keep up with the quality

well for cats like me that are in there late twenties we are always gonna feel the romp days. Like dude said in one of his posts...khayree made a huge influence on them....nobody made beats like him, their sound was distinctive. Thizz now is just a bounch of dudes imitating what mac dre started before he passed........

Khayree was hard on the beats, but even when Dre wasn't fucking with Khayree he was still coming harder then the "hyphy" shit he started doing. Lev put it down on the "Rapper Gone Bad" album, Big Hollis on the "Mac Dre's The Name" album, and whoever did the production on "It's Not What You Say...". And if they wanted, most of the artists that weren't on the Thizz/Hyphy hype before could easily go back and get that type of production, it's still here. Not to knock any of them though. I'm feeling The Crest Creepaz, The Fendi Boys, Money Gang, and a few more.

most cats that listend to dre since day one are going to say the romp days were better...even some of the cats that came in late or what ever know whats up.....romp was better by far....i mean the first romp was just priceless....thizz was good (and i wont say till dre died) because i mean mistah fabs first album was coo....theres been a few coo albums......da US open alll those albums were coo.......but like the thizz nations cds arent doing it for me.....granted i dont own any of them but like what i heard on northernridaz i was just like WOW are they serious? they have like 294459 thizz nation cds and all of em recycled tracks and shit.....i mean some of the thizz dudes hit the mark some way or another sometimes.....but i bet if dre was alive they wouldnt be releasing this type of stuff on his label....i dont know him personally but i bet he was some sort of perfectionist because everything he touched was good or better.....you know?

Khayree!!! He has podcasts on iTunes now they're pretty good.

But yeah Romp was more thuggish whereas thizz is more fuckin' around goin dummy.

Then again ROMP is a trend of the 90's where everything was gangsta. When Pac died everyone was on that style. U can peep all the Bay Rap from that time and everything was hardcore. Now that Mac Dre passed the same trend is happening.

I like Romp better, I grew up in that Era, and back then its was original, now it seems like the same old stuff... no originality anymore. Romp was all of Dre's close friends... I feel like Thizz use to be Dre's close friends, after he died it seems like eveyone from Vallejo is on Thizz. Dont get me wrong, I think alot of them have talent, but would they all have been signed to Thizz if Dre was still alive???

Even thou I'm a yungster myself & most yungsters wuld be sayin' "thizz was better than romp"etc., I agree 150% ROMP over thizz anyday. It was like a dream team. You had PSD, Young Lay, Dre, Dubee & Mac Mall all rappin' at their prime with the beats by Khay that were too HARD. It was jus too unfuckwitable. I honestly cant stand listenin' to 97% of Thizz's new shit. Cuzz if you've heard Rompalation Vol.1, you'll knw exactly what I'm talkin' bout.

I think tha ROMP days produced better music because they had a small group of hella good rappers and they put time into their albums. they were produced well and seems like they had a good amount of time spent on them...i still like alot of shit that comes out of thizz now, but it seems like the time and quality just arent put into alot of the music anymore. I guess you dont have to spend hella time on it if it comes out quality...but when its nto comig out quality u need to get back in tha UDIO!

The way that they are doing things, it seems like they don't have time to put time into the projects. It seems like they are trying to push out an album for all 837 artists on Thizz at one time. Like was said before, Romp was a handful of rappers, and every album seem like it had some time put into it.

And what is the reason why everyone stopped fucking with Kharyee? I'm still not too sure of why Dre stopped fucking with him, or even why him and Mall were funking back in the day. Yes, I've heard "Mac Stabber".
