Doug McConnell does not approve of any of the comments in this thread so far. Doug says take a nice weekend off from propping and take a wholesome but eventful girl and relax at the nice hot springs in Calistoga, then kayak on the russian river (preferably north of Guerneville) with a bottle of chardonnay, then head south to camp in the santa cruz mountains @ Nisene Marks and geek on some local shroomies (the psilocybin varieties are very nice this time of the year), then wrap it up sunday morning by eating some bomb seafood at moss landing at the yacht harbor.

dude's pretty sincere with this shit, blazing an optimo with em right now, talking about how KRON robbed em out of his contract and he's been without his life's calling for the last few years.

so yeah he doesn't recommend the iron triangle area of the east bay but he tells me if you do happen to be around the port of Richmond this weekend the craneway pavillion is lovely and has been nicely redone and upscaled.
