Fugazi song you prob heard was "Waiting Room" as it's their most popular song and the only one I've ever heard on the radio. Great song, but they have many other great ones.

The Six Parts Seven is awesome. Casually Smashed to Pieces would have certainly been in my honorable mention for 2007 had I written one. Everywhere, and Right Here is a lot better though IMO.

By the way...

...Slint is where it is at.

Slint - Spiderland <----Download now, thank me later.

Post-rock bands Mogwai, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, Isis, and Explosions in the Sky have been influenced by Spiderland. Dinosaur Jr and Sebadoh member Lou Barlow said of Spiderland, "It was quiet to loud without sounding like grunge or indie-rock. It sounded more like a new kind of music." PJ Harvey has named Spiderland as one of her favorite albums, and supposedly contacted Slint regarding the band's request for a female vocalist. Bob Nastanovich of Pavement and Mark Clifford of Seefeel have also cited Spiderland as among their favorite albums. The album cover of Spiderland was recreated by The Shins in the music video for "New Slang"

I don't remember what Fugazi song I heard, they were the dj's favorite band so he'd actually play a lot of their shit. Got a suggestion on what album I should get to start out?
Someone told me to check out 6 Parts 7 a couple days ago and I noticed they have Isaac on a song so I've been wanting to get one of their albums.
I'll get that Slint album tomorrow.

With Fugazi I'd start with 13 Songs which is a collection of the songs from their long out of print first two EPs. After that I'd get Repeater. Acutally just go in order of releases and you will be finea and you can't go wrong with any of them IMO.

Speaking of Ian MacKaye and Guy Picciotto (members of Fugazi) bands...

*name DROP!*

Rites of Spring - End On End (Guy Picciotto)

-and-

Embrace - Self Titled (Ian MacKaye)

Both own your face.

With Six Parts...get the two already mentioned first.

Cory you're posting way too much shit and I'm too fucked up to bother going back and checking every band you've posted. Well I'll be hungover tomorrow so I guess I can catch up lol.

I'm gonna post one song, my favorite song of the last year not named Gift of Paralysis. I hope everyone will check this out just because... Fuck man. This was the one band that deserved all the attention just because they still were a band. Broke up 3 months ago, and this song sums up everything they were.
The Junior Varsity- I Went Blind
Every fucking band that anyone ever thought was hardcore or brutal or any of that shit, this band one upped everyone by putting out this album. Andy is my fucking hero just because I couldn't imagine any one of our favorite musicians going thru this and putting out an album. Here http://www.antimusic.com/news/05/oct/2803.shtml
