Are you kidding? When he first came to the wwe and feuded with angle at summerslam 2002 was dope. Not to mention rey and edge winning the tag titles while they were feuding with los guerreros, and benoit & angle.

Although Rey Mysterio is claiming his innocence in the Mexican newspapers, there are still ways he could have been suspended despite having a doctor's prescription.
Under the Wellness Policy WWE's doctors themselves can make an assessment of the prescription in comparison with the wrestler's medical notes and may still suspend them if they suspect the prescription was from a mark doctor.

Also tests reveal substances in the system down to the milligram, so it could also be that Rey was taking more than his prescription noted

It was being reported that creative was thinking about possibly having Rey lose in a squash match to send a strong message to him and others, but after the fact it is said his match with John Morrison is a must see PPV caliber match.

Rey Mysterio's 30-day suspension for violating the Wellness Policy will cost him $100,000, since he would be missing two PPV events and four weeks of house show events. Mysterio is not expected to return for the Hell in a Cell PPV on October 4 since WWE will not have time to build up a match for him.

Mysterio will be allowed to collect merchandise sales during the suspension, which is a huge revenue source for stars in WWE. It is believed Mysterio earns $1.5 million annually, and a large chunk of that comes from merchandise sales, as he is one of the top sellers in WWE. Mysterio's merchandise sales have always been strong even when he has been out with injuries.
