^^^^yeah, you prolly right.

@steve
we ain't supposed to be with a bunch of different women. that's why marriage is supposed to be so special, but it ain't like that anymore because of infidelity and all of that. if you look at alot of the problems that we have today, it's because people are doing things that God or Jesus would not like. if we all consulted God about the things we do or want to do, we would all be better off, hopefully you agree. but back on the subject.

what purpose does pre-marital sex serve? don't get me wrong, i am guilty of it too. but it really is pointless. that's why we have std's in this world, that's why we have children with no parents. it never says all of the previous things that God has said in the bible are nixed due to the new rules. but i hear what you are trying to say. but that also means that, God condones of homosexuality, doing drugs, gambling....etc. you know? i don't think that if God were interviewed, he would say he had no problem with those things. but like i said, if you are in a crossroads, pray about it, see the feeling you get in your heart. that will be your answer you are looking for. it seems like you have some type of conviction on your heart and that is why you are asking, that conviction is probably God speaking to you. the closer you are to God, the more conviction you will feel when you do things that go against his will. obviously the further you heart is from God, the less he will speak to you you know?

@Chris
For real homie, that's some true shit. Now STD's, parentless kids etc. are obviously all bad things. They also work with those 2 rules (the second one, to be precise). People followin' that rule may not engange in premarital sex (or at least not engage in it without protection) because it's not lovin' "thy neighbour as thyself" as it carries the aforementioned risks. Similar things could be said about drugs, homosexuality, gambling, etc.
So it's a judgement call really.
Myself, I've partaken in pre-marital sex, drinking, and mild drugs, I've never got anyone pregnant, spread disease, or done anything (very) stupid under the influence of alcohol or drugs, so I don't think God's displeased with me for that.......but like I said.....

it's a judgement call really.
Peace.

^^^^^that's good for now, but where are you going to go after this life? at least in my faith, you have to be "saved" by God to inherit the kingdom of heaven. our life lasts what, 100 years at most on earth. life in heaven is an eternity. i love life, even though it isn't great all the time, why not be in a place that is so great we can't even imagine for an eternity. i think it is a small price to pay, to serve God on this earth, to be one of the lucky souls in heaven for an eternity. this life ain't that long homie, and it ain't that great, compared to life in heaven.

alot of people feel that way julian, i can't call it. they feel that being a "good" person is enough. i hear the arguement, that in the bible, we shouldn't judge one another, only God can judge us, and that being a good person is enough to get into heaven. alot of the time, these people either don't read the bible, or the take into account what they feel is sinful or not.

Somewhere in the bible it says that all the laws that are held true on earth, god will hold true in heaven. So in a way breaking the law would be a sin, now whether or not it is a sin thats going to send you to hell I don't know. Just something for you all to think about.
