The bible is a collection of books not just one book, and as far as no one knowing who wrote the books, you should look into it before you make that claim.

Well, maybe somebody does, but I doubt anyone will convince me that they definitely know for certain who is responsible for the Bible, so this really isnt worth debating to me.

You're right. I had him confused with "thatguy," but the point I was making stands. He said "It was most definitely a man" who wrote the Bible and that seemed to me to imply that the man was an eyewitness.

Troll saying "It was most definitely a man tho" does not imply an eye witness. What it implies is that a man, and not a "god" actually wrote it. He is simply saying a man wrote it, where as YOU are saying NO ONE KNOWS WHO WROTE IT. Again, his statement does not imply the author was an eyewitness, but that the author was simply a human.

well the bible is written by eye witnesses so it is arguable that the bible is fact as well, you just chose to believe what a scientist tells you he witnessed in his research rather than what an apostle or someone of that nature seen.

Just curious - is it not up for debate because you know who wrote them and refuse to think otherwise, because you're certain that no-one knows who wrote them and thus the argument is pointless, or for some other reason?

I'm not here to debate your answer, whatever that answer may be, but to simply read it.

In this thread I've yet to debate anyone, and to be honest I'm not trying to. The reason why it wa snot up for debate is because I chose to not debate it, cite sources, give names etc.
