miami bass was tight. but the g funk sound basically killed it.

On a side note: Above The Law are fucking dope though. Especially considering both Cold187um and Kokane (and I know Kokane wasnt a member but he worked with them enough) had family in the Motown/Stax records music business.

Another side note: Cold187um claims that the G funk sound came form him and not Dre. I don't know too much about that. Dre might be a legend but he's a straight up bitch. I wouldn't put it past him.

yeah ATL did create G-Funk, i think they predated Dre by at least a year with the sound.

Soca, got hip to that on the east coast, lots of Caribbean folks with Rum.

this is old but yeah, UK Grime

don't really like this song but at least it has bun-b in it. pimp-c had a verse on it too but it's not included in the video for obvious reasons

^^^thats where the puerto rocks got reggaeton from I heard.
that's what i've heard from my folks who introduced me to plena. panama does all the caribbean music though, not just dancehall, it also does soca and it's conscious reggae [just in spanish of course] and even some reggaeton.

I lived in Eastern Cape, South Africa for a year back in the 90s and KWAITO was what everybody was partying to. It's just like euro-house + African = kwaito. There is some serious dancing in this video. Good topic.

edit: ghostridin the van at 3:10!

I love baile funk. Too bad I can't understand Portuguese though.

@moet_laureateYeah I love that album. That was our anthem growing up in Indiana.

The problem with Indianapolis rap. Is we lack identity. When it was cool to be gangster we were gangster. When it was time to be crunk we got crunk. There are a lot of backpacker Now I hear a bunch of gucci mane sounding cats around town.

I guess that is how it is being in the midwest you get everybody sound instead of your own.
