i had a homie from iowa and they would kill racoons for extra money. theyre vermin and spread disease and there are a ridiculous amount of them and you can make a lot of money if you get a ton of them. the furs you can get 20+ dollars, depending on the size, up to like 60-70$ i think. you get like $5 for the corpse i think, they make dog food out of it. racoons will kill small animals and tear up your garbage, some of those things get bigger than dogs

Nobody hunts for food, people hunt for sport. The few people in America that hunt for food are the backwood folks you posted already.
What? You're fucking crazy. My people still do that. My brother has a freezer full of elk meat from the elk he shot last month. There is also salmon in the freezer as well. And trust me, we don't do this shit for sport, we do it to eat.

Deer, elk, moose, and salmon, that's it for food as far as my family is concerned. None of that racoon, fox, cougar bullshit.

So either you care when someone does something that doesn't concern you or your family or you don't.
Exactly. I dont.

By your own statement you would not care if someone sneezed, and you would not care if someone killed 100,000 innocent people as long as it did not affect you or your family. Your words.
Exactly. I dont wish bad things on people, and I can empathize when I hear about bad things, but do i worry or concern myself with other peoples problems? Am I troubled by what someone else may or may not be doing? Hell no.

These are direct contradictions, as not caring = no empathy/sympathy.
em·pa·thy
1. the intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing of the feelings, thoughts, or attitudes of another.

care
1. a state of mind in which one is troubled; worry, anxiety, or concern.

I can identify and understand with others feelings, experiences, and attitudes, but I am not worried or concerned about what anyone else is doing.

You can give me all the definitions in the world, but empathy and caring have direct correlations with one another, and you of all people should know that. Empathy breaks down to "feeling sorry with". Feeling "sorry" with someone is an aspect of "caring".

Why do they have a correlation though? Because lots of people dont understand the definition of the word? Empathy doesnt break down to anything besides what it means, something cant be what it isnt, then its something else.
