like how long u been working on this?
I've been woring on this for like 2 years now I've been pushing it back at first beacause of money problems cause I was suppose to put it out so many times but shit happens you know. And the delay now is just waiting on getting a couple tracks submitted and then its off to master N press.

when did u decide to put together a comp with your own money?
I first decided to do a compilation because doing my solo project was goin to be a while because of access to studio. I first started rapping the only times I would ever record was when my cousin Trajik1 was gonna record then he'd hit me up and we'd go to the studio. But one day he got writters block that lasted "A LONG TIME" lol so I started to be like you know what Ima take some initiative and go out and get into the studio myself and It was hard because I didn't like the sound quality or conditions of a lot of studios I recorded at and the only one I felt really comfortable recording in was my boy Bad Luck's studio where I record now. And due to him being unavailiable at times and seeing as I want to put a project out but not record all the time. So oneday back when HomeBoy Rap.com was still up and running I used to always stay tuned to hear a new episode of HomeBoy Rap Radio (HBRR) when they were interviewing Lil Coner for his Smile Now Cry Later cd & he talked about how hes not a rapper by nature and the way he got put on was cause Speedy Loc hit him up to be on his album and after that he just put out hella compilations that blew him up. So I said thats what ima do, Ima put out a compilation and that way the days I do record, that will be just one of the tracks on my comp. So following what many artist on the siccness do I told people to submit tracks for my comp. & I got a lot of song! lol but then the homie Monstaville Music hit me up lacing me on game on how to put out a quality Compilation so looking back at the comp I was gonna put out I was dissatisfied with a lot of the songs on there so I took a lot out and put better songs on there now. this cd has been a real learning expiriences so best belive my future comps will be even better. another reason for doin this comp is because I decided that my solo projects are going to have little to no features. like my EP's that ima drop after "GTS" are going to have absolutely no features and on my solo ima have little to no features on it. and when I started rapping I was more concerned abut who I wanna rap with rather then working on my rap skills so with these comps ima get all the features out of the way so to speak and put all the artist I want to work with on 1 comp and later my solos will remain solos.

what is the anticipation outside the board for this. streets? other sites?
Outside this board theres a lot of anticipation for this project. I travel a lot so I meet a lot of people and promote it all the time and so yea people are definately looking out for it. a lot of people on Myspace hella want it and I got people in Idaho, Oxnard, Elk Grove, of coarse Gilroy and San Jose who are waiting for it so yea there is a lot of anticipation.

any tracks u feel are gonna break an artist out of obscurity?
(im sure they are all good)

Yes there is definately a lot of artist that I want to break out of obscurity. Like ChrisDiggidy is one of em. I think the track he did will definately have people looking out for his projects. I know people in Watsonville feeling his shit. Also my boy G-Dawg who now goes by "E.S.J." outta Tulare County is another artist Im hoping to expoze his music to and get his shine on and hope people look out for him. I'm hoping to sign him to my label. And of coarse myself, Trajik1 & Green Im hoping to get out of obscurity and with this comp I hope to get recognition and get people to want to buy our future projects. All the artist on this project I hope get their shine from this project. Thats why its called "Grind To Shine"

is this your first official release? What label is this on?
as Ampichino would put it "this is my first piece of crap" lol naw but yes this is my first official release. It will drop under my new label im trying to establish and copyright called "Hustle Hard Entertainment." all my compilations, mixtape, and artists im trying to sign's projects will be under this label. all my solo EP's and solo albums will drop under "Devilish Ways Recordings" Trajik1's Label

Will it be availible on itunes?
When I find out how to put it up for downloadon itunes I will definately put it up for sale on there. I also want to put it up for download and for sale hard copies on CD Baby. But I will definately put it up for sale at the mom and pops shop like Family Tree, Streetlight, Streetbeat, Barney's etc.

how much you gonna sell'em for?
$10

Appreciate you mentioning my song breh. For those that don't know, I'm Chrisdiggidy.

I actually just got a MUCH better recording set up with a better mic and all that so I plan on completely re-working my last album with better quality and droppin new tracks that are written and just need to be recorded. I'm moving this month so I should hopefully be droppin new stuff as soon as summer starts.

I'm lookin forward to the GTS project droppin though. My track is unconventional but I get a lot of positive feedback all the time on that track.
