Yeah you do have to either look real hard for good sounds or multisample with the NNXT but when you get the hang of it and know what patches are good its all gravy.

I don't know much about synth modeling but I come up with coo shit by tweaking the presets or making my own shit with an init patch on the subtractor and the malstrom, made some pretty tight basses and leads. I've also downloaded hella shit from various websites too so I got sounds from the juno,MS20,DX7,Waldorf and Hammond boards.

I wish someone would make a refil with Triton and Mo Phatt sounds on it, that would be nice.

You can buy soundfonts from Emu with the full Planet Phatt and Mo Phatt sound roms for under $30. From there, you should be able to convert that to something Reason can use... Among other things, you can also find the Trinity sound rom on the net if you look hard enough...

You could hook reason up to your MPc or other shit

yea but the only drawback with reason is there is no midi out....i big no no if you work with gear.......i play with reason when im bored, its a dope little program for sure.
If you got Pro Tools 6.1 you could use Reason 2.0 or higher like a sound module. You could still sequence thru the Mpc or Triton , you just get to use the sounds. I just got that shit all lined up. It's a plug-in called rewire in Pro Tools . It slaves reason and you just use the sounds not the sequencing. So now you could have all your regular shit + Reason.

I wish it had an arpregeator aside than that Its great for me. If I can get other equipment with better sounds that runs like reason, I'll really be set. The sounds I have now are tight but I had to do alot of serching around the net 4 soundfonts to get good stuff.

holla.
Reason is all midi no audio inputs. You can't use your motif board sounds in reason itself. If you got Pro Tools you could hook it through there so you could use both reason and keyboards. If not you just need a midi interface and some midi cables to connect your motif as a controller.

i have a recording software installed my PC called "cool edit pro." i also have a mixer connected to my computer which is also connected to my keyboard. anyway i could use reason without midi? if so, how do i record the sounds on the reason? is there like a keyboard pic that appears on the screen on do i just select the sound and copy/paste it to my cool edit?

thanks

I don't know much about cool edit pro. I know in Pro Tools the plug-in to link reason to Pro Tools is called Rewire. It lets you assign reason sound modules to Midi tracks in Pro tools. I have mine hooked where I can control reason with my mpc , so I just use the sounds from reason and all my other equipment too.
You can control some of the modules with your mouse if you don't have a midi port. Not too much you can do . You can use the loop player, drum machine, couple other things too. You could take what you create in Reason and export it as an audio file, Then you could load it in your motif or cool edit I would imagine.
