I am not trying to start a controversy or anything like that. its just that being on here I have been reading posts and feel like ppl living outside of the central valley do not understand what it is like to live out here, especially in the 559. Its long but hopefully enes will get a better understanding about what a mutt is and how it effects not only enes in the valley but all enes. I am not trying to change ppls feelings about gangs or which one is stronger. please no remarks of being to long just dont read it. These stories are known to the law, just like the stories about the norte sur separation of the 60's.
being that I am a norteno from fresno and have been in prison and the streets here is what I know about mutts. Back in the day like the between the 60's and early 80's Fresno was a major city for the NORTE, much like how San Jo and Frisco are today. before I go on the shit I'm spitting is already known to law enforcement so please no replys about me leaking N E thing out. one day orders were sent out to Fresno to do a jale by some enes from San Jo, also some enes from san jo were sent to Fresno to help out. N E ways enes from fresno were getting tired of having to answer to other enes and having to follow the 14 bonds. The felt like Fresno was to big and could stand alone. With this feeling of fustration separations started happening for a while. This is why that F14 shit happened they were like ok were norte but we are Fresno norte. Back to the order from san jo, some homeboys from Fresno decided to turn their backs on the homies from San Jo. ( I am not even going to get into what happened, mainly cause I really dont know, and cause it varies from the F14's jumping the San Jo enes to them killing them) What ever the event was, all that matters is that the F14's let both Nuestra Familia and The Eme that they felt that FRESNO WAS NOT NORTE OR SUR, THAT THEY DID NOT WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN IT ANYMORE. Naturally fresno didnt get what it wanted. Its not like NORTE was going to let them go with out a war. This was around the early eighties, the prison enviroment changed in california around that time too. For one if you were from Fresno you would get hit up if you were F14(now known as bulldog) or N14(NORTE). F14s would have to get separated from Nortenos, and here is where confusion started. (I am not siding with mutts fuck that Im norte and not a mutt) but naturally surenos saw this separation and knew that this would hurt norte so to help it evolve, sur put a red light on F14's, which meant that other inmates would have to answer to sur if they hit up an F14. Veteranos have told me that if someone had a good reason they could get permisson from sur to fuck up a F14, he said it was easy but most of the time general population had to pay a tax.
See alot of enes and others for that matter felt like mutts tried becoming sur or they wanted to side with them and thats why they separated. It wasn't the reason its that they felt Fresno should have to take orders from norte or sur. Scraps only helped them so NORTE would loose soilders. Just recently sur got fustrated with protecting bulldogs. so they decided to give mutts a choice
1. They could pay a tax and carry out orders from them( so basically become surenos)
2. They could continue to resist and recieve a green light.
Bulldogs decided to stay alone and now they dont have the red light from sur.
On the streets around the late 80's and early 90's mutts got control of the Fresno county jail and the East side of Fresno. Around this time F14 took the name of the logo of Fresno State University. (I wish it would have been ducks or some other bitch logo) Around this time period hoods in Fresno especially in the East side lost their identity they went from names like Fresno Flats, Illnios street, East side Vato Locos, North side Fresno 14, to Bulldogs. In the early periods it was like everyone banged their hood and were nortenos or pledged allegiance to Fresno Bulldogs. Now a days there are many bulldog hoods. like East side and Park side bulldogs.
Around Fresno County between the late 80's and 90's, it was hella tight. Nortenos weren't necessarily united but when ene would go to county jail they would unite and fuck up what they called mutts and bullfrogs. Around cities like Sanger, Del Rey, Reedley, Parlier, Selma, and others hatred was shown toward Norteno dropouts. Like around 92-94 mutts try to start a type of hierarchy. which didn't work out since they formed so that "every dog could walk their own yard". Sadly they began to persuade enes that it was better to be a mutt than a norteno.
You see alot of nortenos began to start playing prison games. They would be all hard core norte on the streets but once they wound up in county they would become mutts since bulldogs ran the jail. If you are a NORTENO in Fresno county jail you are put into a separate tank, cause every one and their mom claim mutt in there. Once alot of enes played this game of transforming into mutt towns got run over. For instance Sanger which was known for its "chankla" hood of nortenos, switched and became bulldogs. now cities like selma and sanger all hoods that were norte are now bulldog. As of late I have been to Tulare county and know some enes out there and they have no bulldog hoods nor do they feel threatend of ever having one. so now bulldogs are trying to be known as a county gang. Another thing that is stupid is caus I am from Fresno and remeber in the late eighties and mutts didnt claim red or wear red. they only wore it cause the bulldog shirts and clothing were red. Now a mutt will have a red pano, laces, shirt I mean they will be flamed up. Also the word dog is sensitive around the 559, if you look like you bang and you say something like "whats up dog" or " the other day me and my dogs" nortenos and scraps will hit you up. and it goes the same way too if a bulldog uses the word to tell you "what up dog" a real norteno will say "I aint no dog". plus I know it sounds stupid but even barking is sensitive around here. For instance you know when your at a car show or concert and you get hyped up, ppl will like yell and shit. well mutts will bark, they also bark when they are jumping some one, ene ways I went to the car show in corcoran and some ppl were barking out of excitement when that fake crip snoop was performing. they were getting beer and shit thrown at them and getting hit up.

I lived in fresno till 95 I was in juvy most of 94, but still I lived on the east side of fresno,always norte tough never switched or transformed. I am proud to be a NORTENO from Fresno. shit got crazy over here and I feel like some enes on here dont realize the war we have with not only scraps but also mutts.
