Top free agent Lewis to leave Sonics for Magic
By Marc Stein
ESPN.com

Updated: July 3, 2007, 1:30 AM ET

The NBA's most sought-after free agent is going to the Magic Kingdom.

Rashard Lewis has given the Orlando Magic a verbal commitment to leave the Seattle SuperSonics and sign a max contract on July 11, according to NBA front-office sources.

That's the first day free agents are allowed to officially sign new contracts.

Unless a sign-and-trade arrangement is worked out with Lewis' old team or unless it can otherwise shed payroll between now and July 11, Orlando will have to renounce the rights to restricted free agent Darko Milicic to create the salary-cap space needed to sign Lewis to a deal believed to be in the $15 million-a-year range.

well atleast we still got durant and some cap room.....but fucc....damn.....we trade ray allen and lose rashard lewis............and we gonna move the team to OK......ain't a good week for seattle fans

Seattle is stupid as fuck. They trade Allen, the best player on the team by far, which in turn is motivation for their 2nd best player, Lewis, to leave. Only thing they did right was draft Durant which was a no brainer.

THATS WUT IM SAYIN. SEATTLE IS DUMB AS FUCK

Seattle is the village idiot of the NBA. Allen/Lews scored 48 points on average between the two of them. Who will replace those numbers now?

Even if they wanted to make some moves and trade for some scorers, they don't have anybody on the roster that is worth value. They got absolute shit. Their two best offensive players never played an NBA game, lol

Current Roster (without Lews):
Andre Brown - 2.4 PPG
Nick Collison - 9.6 PPG
Kevin Durant
Danny Fortson - 2.9 PPG
Mickael Gelabale - 4.6 PPG
Jeff Green
Randy Livingston - 3.8 PPG
Johan Petro - 6.2 PPG
Luke Ridnour - 11.0 PPG
Mouhamed Sene - 1.9 PPG
Robert Swift - 5 PPG
Wally Szczerbiak - 15 PPG
Earl Watson - 9.4 PPG
Delonte West - 12.2 PPG
Chris Wilcox - 13.5 PPG
Damien Wilkins - 8.8 PPG
Mike Wilks - 3.6 PPG

Seattle is gonna be amazing trust me.

Delonte West - Starting PG material already, IMO. I saw the Celtics-Warriors game this year when the Celtics had NOTHING, and Delonte kept it close single handedly. Plus he's young and his time to learn, he should also help elevate Ridnour and Watson...and vice versa.

Kevin Durant - Sky's the limit. At worst he wins a few scoring titles, at best: Top 5 players of all time. No one has his game. He's a combo of T-Mac, MJ and KG...Really tho.

Jeff Green - All things considered, if he learns to shoot a bit more, become a little more selfish with the ball, he can lead a team to the playoffs.

Jeff Green and Kevin Durant is a very scary combo, throw in Delonte West and you already got the makings of a playoff team in 2-3 years.

Haha I don't even like Seattle, all I'm saying is Green and Durant are future Hall of Famers.

To me, Green is more impressive than Durant...and that's saying something.

So 2 future Hall of Famers with a future All-Star (Delonte West).

They won't be much this year...but they WILL be quite the team within 2-3 years.

Im sorry I just cant get over the fact you said they are gonna be amazing... or do you think KEVIN DURANT will be amazing.... does amazing mean around 30-35 wins for the next few years

is that amazing, unless they get a FA, they won't be amazing... I would re word what you said.
