honestly i'd probably be more into poetry if music didn't exist

i think rap is an active voice of poetry and i do write poetry but spend most of my time writing rap music

do any of you guys spend 5-10 hours a day playing an instrument? My life would be much more free, and i'd do more things i guess. But, i love it, so i cant imagine not doing that. But it's not impossible to live life without music.

i grew up on jazz/bebop cuz my dads side is creole, started breakdancing in 1984 and rockit by herbie hancock was my favorite song, without music i probably woulda been banging or dead

its just a side hobby tho..

haha thats hella cool tho, i don't even know what a chinese bamboo flute sounds like, i play classical/flamenco guitar but i was really thinking about getting a flute tho, but then when i started looking at them i didn't know what to get, because there are lots of varieties. Don't you also paint/draw? That's some good stuff then.
