Yeah i just read that.

They have a LP comin out soon too.
What's funny is the other Giant hasn't put out an album in eight years and don't tour anymore. Whatever though, I don't care if they called themselves Hot Shit as long the music is good.

Yeah, I want to order this EP but I can't bring myself to pay $17.00 for one album. Oh well.

It was a lot different then I thought it would be. More straight up "post-metalish" with no real vocals besides a yell/chant on song 2. I liked it but in comparison to Song and the split with Tides I was rather let down. I hope the full length is more along those lines and this was just like a warm up.

On another exciting note, the 2 song, 28 minute 12" entitled Bloom has officially gone up for sale. Bloom was recorded at a church here in greensboro, and is much more representative of the direction we have been headed for quite some time now. Of course, theres no way to know that unless you have seen us live, but the endless fucking hangups with the full length have caused a serious gap in our released material and newer pieces. It sounds very open and live, and we are incredibly excited just to have something tangible that can show where our heads are musically. all of the artwork was done by us, and it is going to be a very limited release. 500 were pressed, and we plan on keeping it that way.
From the part in bold though it seems that won't be the case. Oh well, I'll still check it out.

Hmmm I'm going to have to check both of those out even though with the second one I have no idea how darkwave music could be acoustic seeing usually one of the main things is synth.

But ambient/darkwave sounds like something I should love.

It's mostly acoustic, but it sometimes has those warm gothic-esque synths. Although now that I think about it, this album might be the one with no keyboards. Whatever, I'm impaired.

It's the singer from Ra Ra Riot and the keyboard player from Vampire Weekend. Probably the best dance/pop album of the year.

I finally understand why ducktails and bands similar to them make the music they do..., i for the first time was persuaded to try some green, i don't know what they put in it but by the end of it, i was just lying on my bed, listening to deerhunter, and ducktails haha. All i thought of was jellyfishes and anemones and weird colors while i listened to that ducktails cd.

by all means, i'm not saying, you need to be in that state to appreciate that music, it just seems like it was made for that reason. I was glad i had that cd though.
