Good looking out Palmer. Just curious, where did you find it? I tried SLSK, blogs, everything and couldn't come up with anything.

How's Tacoma with this snow? I was lucky and off today but my roomate had to go to work and it took him over an hour from our spot on Queen Anne to Swedish hospital and that's usually just a 10 minute drive.

found it on slsk last night along with:

the for carnation "marshmallows" & "promised works" & "S/T"

robedoor & pocahaunted split (with bobb bruno) "heavy sets split c48 - live at echo park"

got a few other things qued up but I'm "awaiting user". Do you want me to up them to?

The snow in Tacoma isn't out of control but the ice sucks. I'd rather have Christopher Walken stab me in the face with a soldering iron then drive on ice. I couldn't imagine trying to drive the hills of Seattle on ice. I'm supposed to go to my brothers this weekend on Queen Anne but if it's this icy then fuck that.

Up everything you can by him. That would be awesome. I tried SLSK like five different times. I guess I just had bad timing lol.

Yeah, it's supposed to snow more tonight and the now slush is just going to turn to thick ice. I went and stood on 15th for like 10 minutes today and didn't see a single car on a road that is usually really busy.

lol @ A Very Brutal Christmas.

That's fucking awesome.

Anyways, I was listening to this album while drinking last night. Warm weather sounding music for cold weather times. This album is fucking great.

Coconot - Cosa Astral

You can listen to the whole album on their myspace if you want to check it out first. It's a great album from front to back but Tao, Te Tenia En Cinta, and Miles De Ojos are my favorite tracks on it.

Here is another album that has been getting a lot of play. I love the lo-fi sound of it and this is how lo-fi garage rock/punk should sound.

Black Lips - Good Bad Not Evil

Check out Veni Vidi Vici, O Katrina!, and Cold Hands from their myspace. All three are great songs and the opening verse from the album is about sippin' lean lol.

*edit*
If you scroll down with the little album covers on the side click the third down and you can listen to the full album actually. I just noticed that.

Yeah, I have the other album. I found them on blogspots. I'm telling you one of the best ways to find music is.

http://blogsearch.google.com/

Band name - album name

Usually brings up a download within the first few hits. Add download, rapidshare, etc after the album name if it's coming back with lots of reviews for the album or something like that. I've only had maybe 3-4 artists and/or albums that I couldn't find using that method.

Yeah, I saw that AC leak too. I've seen them live and they are great but that sound quality is garbage. I've only heard the two studio version songs so far so I'm going to wait for a real leak.

And yes, I listen to Abe Vigoda. Skeleton will be in my top of 2008 list for sure. If you check the "top 5 bands/artists this very second" thread I've listed them a couple times. Their older stuff (Kid City and Sky Route/Star Roof) is good too but Skeleton I think is where they really found their sound.

I seem to like most of the bands that frequent The Smell in LA. HEALTH, No Age, The Mae Shi, Silver Daggers and Bobb Bruno among others.

1Deep just posted a lot of Bobb Bruno's work with his past bands, you should check it out. I like his solo stuff the most but so far it's all been pretty good.

I've had a lot of artists i cant find with google blogsearch lol. Sometimes there are links to the albums but they are like 30 pages deep or something and it takes time. I usually go to gappon.com or megadownload.net where its a little more organized for downloading and then i go to blogsearch sometimes i cant find anything anywhere though

Skeleton seems to be on everyone's top albums list haha

Health and Bobb Bruno is good music but i dont really listen to music with no vocals though lol non-vocal music is better live anyway lol at bobb brunos myspace though i seriously lol'ed at the Band Members:
