good shit travis. i ended up liking the dean blunt & pure x junts more thans their previous albums. out of the 2 vanderslice projects i have to say the bowie cover was a lot better, he should have held out on the solo a while longer.

Holy shit @ that new Dean Blunt album. It kind of reminds me of when Ariel decided to clean up his sound. While I miss the scuzzy wtf vibe of his previous work this shit is really awesome in its own.

Flaxen and All Dogs Go To Heaven are fucking amazing.

That said I think I prefer the stuff as Hype Williams/with Inga more so still.

I have to agree. I liked this new one better than the narcissist II mix he did but it doesn't come anywhere near Dean Blunt and Inga Copeland's "Black is Beautiful" album. I remember hearing a fully mastered version of BIB but it took away from what made it great in the first place. This new Dean Blunt is missing that made in a living room feel to it but still a solid release.
