Yeah they had some legal trouble with lawsuits so they began terminating accounts who uploaded copywritten material too much. Most blogs and sites just stopped using it.

I had a hotfile account because there was a site I went to that had everything in high quality mp3s for albums on hotfile.... same with porn lol. I should have checked before renewing it though.
