Im saying that raider fans were quick to write off Smith after his first season that he didnt even play much of. raider fans said he was a bust because he was a top ten pick and he should be able to contribute right away, or else smith is a bust. They also said that a QB is a bust if he throws more ints then touchdowns.

Russell fits into both of these categories. Why should he be treated different?

I, FOR THE RECORD NEVER CALLED HIM A BUST UNTIL LATE THIS SEASON. I EVEN HAD A THREAD IN HERE DURING THE OFFSEASON WHERE I WAS DEFENDING HIM WHEN OTHERS CALLED HIM A BUST. SO NOT ALL RAIDER FANS WERE PREMATURELY CALLING ALEX SMITH A BUST.
