the same promise that J Russel shows for the raiders makes raider fans more then happy...the same promise that VY has shown makes me a "dumb ass fan boy" by same said raider fans....

edit: + i dont like the fact that everyone seems to think this is "basically JRs rookie year"....there is NO 2nd year rookies in the NFL....just because he rode pine doesnt mean hes basically a rookie...we give no luxury to any other player (nfl wise) for riding bench but somehow i allways hear "hes basically a rookie" when JRs name comes up

i guess thats where we disagree...im not going to call lendale white a 2nd year back because he rode the bench his rookie year.....im not going give that "luxury" to any of the players...

Quit it already. Your just mad that VY has been riding the bench behind a 35 year old backup this whole season, and is now being called a bust by most knowledgeable football fans. JR in his first full season already accomplished something that VY never did in a season and that is throw more td's than int's and higher qb rating than VY ever finished with in a season.
he only stated what... 2... maybe 3 games his rookie season?? I forget... but it was something like that
and he missed training camp and all that because he held out on his contract
you can't compare that to a player who stated all rookie season... yeah he got some experience from being around the team and the little bit that he did play... but IMO you gotta be out there takin snaps in a real game to get experience

comparing vince young and j.russ is like apples and oranges.
VY is a run first pass second which OBVIOUSLY doesnt cut ut in the NFL. JR is a 1st year starter showing some flashes of what can be. this conversation is mute foe a couple more years. i guess losing 23-0 going in to the playoffs is the reason. Remember, everyone is 0-0 now.

if i was bandwagon fan like you i would be a giants fan. you will be mad in a couple weeks. everybody is 0-0. worry about your team losing 2 of 3 going into the playoffs. 23-0 last game. im dissapointed in my team, but am not "mad" like you think raider fans are. good/bad isnt determined by proffessional sport results unless you gamble in my book. i just had a great christmas and am looking forward to more progress next year. they do affect little feminine men like you though.
