^^^ Yes, those who can't get on thier own due to thier circumstantial position in society, not intelligence levels.... plus Stanislaus State University isnt going to look a such a factor in the first place... they only have 7500 students enrolled, they dont turn away qualified people, they accept everybody and anybody who applies AND qualifies scolastically. Why do people think that AA just hands out enrollment to dummies? That is a big misconception.

i would hope they wouldnt and i doubt that they do. but i still feel that in my opinion the most qualified person should get in regardless or the color of their skin.

Look i would have absolutley no problem if AA was somehow worked out so that poor people or athletes, or legacy can get the extra 20 points, but just not on race.

^^^ Yeah, but when your talking big ass colleges with limited room, enrollment is an issue. So it is only right that AA allows a balance of different qualified people to get in. Otherwise it is all wealthy white youth getting educated in our best colleges and prospering. How about the equally-qualified, equally-intelligent poor Mexican girl from the barrio going on to prosper? You say you would want the most qualified person to get in right? What if the most qualified was that poor Mexican girl? I see now what you think, and I should of seen it earlier. You think that without AA these institutions will hold no predjudices, or hold no favortism. Well, has that been the case in this country so far?

Anyway, Im done with these threads. Im just agreeing to disagree at this point. Class dismissed.
